I miss my 4BT powered trucks. The only reason I sold the last one was due to the 700r4 tranny. It was the weak link in an otherwise bulletproof truck. If I would have kept it, I would have swapped in a manual (H41/42, H55, or NV4500).

Mods you should do if not already done:
- Add sound deadening under the carpet and at the firewall (like what others have said).
- Fluid filled mounts help with vibration at idle, but it is still there. I bumped up the idle a little which helped.
- Make sure you have the gearing right. I swapped in a 3.70 gears that helped keep the RPM's down (the 4BT has a pretty narrow RPM band.
- Install a smaller turbine housing for faster turbo spooling.
