I have a major modified dash on the 40, but haven't done anything to the pig as of yet.

Minor modifications, mostly to accommodate and monitor the diesel engine.

I've added a glow button to warm the glow plugs to the left of the tailgate switch (hidden in the picture), a water separator warning light to the right of the rear heater switch and a bank of three gauges, voltmeter, boost and pyrometer under the dash at the e-brake handle area. The aftermarket gauge lighting is wiring into the dash lights and dims in conjunction with the dash lights. I even put the green "socks" on the aftermarket dash bulbs to get the right light color!

I would also LOVE to get my hands on one of the new 2010 4Runner 'Party' mode switches for my dash! Uber cool.


'Party' mode kicks up the bass and balances the speakers in the new 2010 4Runner to have more music blasting out the back end of the rig- for tailgating, inpromptu parties, etc. Wicked idea from Toyota! And the switch looks perfect...

Victor, "animaldevictor", in Costa Rica has a wood dash with all the OEM '55 instruments in it. Looks classy. Maybe he'll post a picture for us.

Sorry, pics coming this am of mine. Kinda got sidetracked, kinda M-bearasst. Please note: this mod was done long ago, and "for no good reason, whatsoever".(immortal words of legendary H.S.T.) If it gains any redemption for me, I'm trying to un-modify it. I was really hoping there was someone else out there as stoopit as I am. I really shoulda known better.
