Why a camper rather than a RTT? Just personal preference?

I don't like tents...they get musty and have too much maintenance, and I took off my roof rack (and I am 6'4" with a wife and 3 kids)

My RTT has never been musty and the only maintenance it has seen in a couple years is being setup to dry out. It is about time to add some waterproofing to the fly but that could be put off another year.
