Took some rusty 60 series rims to the powder coater for some color.

While waiting, I fabricated up some proper brake lines for the rear axle.

Brakes are now bled!

I like your pick of tires. Would you mind posting what size they are. I'm still up in the air on mine.

Thanks,

Ron

You have some nice spare parts laying there sir

Been out test driving it most of the morning.

Changed all of the fluids and test drove it again.

Runs Great!

The steering could use a little tightening. But it drives Awesome !

Well done! Nice looking rig, and a lot of character.

Fantastic build Dan!

thanks

I had them made at Speed Frame Engineering in Farmersville, ca.

Al is a super nice guy and makes them while I wait.

they are flexiable, right?

what material are they made out of?

thanks

They are stainless steel flexible brake line tubing. The ends are swaged on.

I take my old lines with me with the fitting I want on them. He pulls the line from a roll and makes the them. He has ramped up his inventory of Metric sizes since he has seen what I do with them.

He is the largest stocking independent dealer of hose and fittings. I think Summit Racing and Jeggs have more but this guy is local and an independent business owner so I support him.

Steering was a little loose. Ok, is took 180* turning of the wheel to keep it between the ditches. While still mounted in the vehicle , i pulled the gearbox apart and inspected it. I replaced the crosshaft since I found a few bad balls in the bearing. I reassembled and Shimmed accordingly.

Drives Great!

I believe the original tie rod ends could be replaced and get rid of all of the movement.
