Is your bnb a good place for a romantic getaway? Have been mulling over the idea for a while. Not that a night or two would save the business, but every bit counts, right?

Last time I will quote you . . tonight, I promise (on this subject).

The business itself is doing well - sometimes it feels like more than we want with just two of us. for Mar-Oct, even with two vacations, we had a 42% occupancy rate, which is crazy high for a B&B. Most B&Bs are really happy with every weekend and 1.5 room each weekday. That is 30% occupancy.

We turn away about 2 guests a weekend right now :( We are considering buying a second home just for VRBO/Air BnB whole house rental.

All said, it is a loser business by definition. We intend it that way as long as I work the day job. Once I do not, I think it will be sold. Its one of thew few businesses where you can really throttle your loses based on what you want.

I buy all my parts on the way (paging AJR) so I'm broke by the time I get there.
