That's gonna be a fine ride. That bumper is pretty.

The word is that it will be done in a few days. I hope to fly out to CO and drive it home next month, as I don't have time to go until then and it will give the shop some time to drive it a bit and work the bugs out.

cool. that's what I did. I tried fancy elec. BMW seats... SOOOO comfortable, outside of the truck. But too big. I'm 6'5, so need every inch i can get. Got the stock seats recovered. Had them sew pockets along front edge and on the backrest for storage. Only bummer is being able to figure out some sort of small console/armrest...
But the seats are designed to give maximum leg/head room, and they are pretty comfy. The passenger seat is designed for two people, but I don't know anyone that small (ie: Mini-Me size).

I'm headed that way next week to see if I can get my project firmed up. Let me know if you want me to check on anything when I'm there.
Glad to hear it's finally done!!! Can't wait to see it in person.

Me too. When I finally get it in my hands I'll post a big bunch of detailed pics here.

I bought two sets of OEM steel wheels. The splits are a bit too narrow to run the bigger tires I want.

A set of nonsplit 16x7" for summer with BFG KM2s, 255/85/16.

A set of 16x6" splits for winter that I will mount with the Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT in 235/85-16.

Winter is long here and a good winter tire is vital.

i like the canopy set up.
you will love driving that truck.

hey, did your 1HZ come from a mine truck? You might think about ordering up a timing belt/tensioner/idler. Maybe even a water pump. Cheap insurance. Mine was in less than optimal shape. The mines are a harsh environment and the grime seems to get everywhere. My belt was ok, but the idler and the actual cover were toast.
I also just went through the valve clearance steps, and most of the valves were pretty tight. About half were beyond spec and needed to be reshimmed. Again, cheap insurance; just... time consuming.
