Which box are you using? R151, H151 or H55

I actually don't remember, I decided over a year ago to use what was on the donor mine truck. I think it's an H151 but I might be remembering wrong.

We did have to do some mods to the body for the part time transfer case, as the mine truck was full time 4WD.

donor vehicle wheel was too beat up to use.

New Toyota 79 series wheel was $800.

Other Toyota models we tried didn't fit right.

Did you try the 80-series non-airbag wheel? That's what several of us are running in our 40s, work great w/o any modification ;). I know where a pristine leather wrapped one is now, I'm sure it could be had if you're interested (fellow WALCS member).

Truck looks fantastic, can't wait to see it in person!

I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

Yooper, you are going to trip out when you seen the truck in person. It's even nicer than the photos. I don't see how you can stand waiting to pick it up!!!!!

Beautiful truck - I would love one of these!

Proffitts are starting on a project for me soon, maybe I'll get one of these done in the future :D

Haha, damn Yoop that truck is unreal man!!
I love it.

Thanks, I am going crazy waiting for the last few details. Latest pics. The canvas canopy is almost done, just the hatch (which has a steel frame) left to finish, and they made the removable roof rack too wide so they're going to remake it.

I should have the truck in a few weeks.:bounce:

I had the opportunity to visit proffitt's 2 weeks ago, these trucks are a work of art....

Maybe I missed it, but what will be your fuel capacity? Looks like dual tanks, perhaps.

dual tanks, whatever a 2010 HZJ79 has, I think they are both 90L

I have learned that my front tank is factory and 20 gallons and my rear tank is a 20 gallon RCI fuel cell because a new OEM tank wouldn't fit the mine truck frame that was made for a single tank.

So 40 gallon capacity. At 20mpg (wild guess) that gives me a 400 mile combat radius. :)

Very nice!!

How did you get a title for it? I was told that we can't buy mine trucks, and plate them here...

I didn't buy a mine truck and plate it here. We built a new truck from parts, many of them from a mine truck. There are multiple ways to obtain title.
