Hey cult looks like your doing good for yourself mate. if I had known you were heading to the blue mountains mate I would have bought you a beer while you were out this way. I haven't been in this section of the forum for a while so I didn't know you were still posting up.

Be warned my friend. That truck has the 'kavorka' (Latvian term meaning - the lure of the animal). Kramer from Seinfeld had it. It the truck falls into the wrong hands who knows what could happen.

Haha true. But you didn't answer my question..

That's what happens when you hang out with lawyers. You start picking up their bad habits (just like Cult needs another bad habit).

Righto fellas. Been a long time. Been busy makin and writin movies and some such. Also started a new series. Called it The Dandyman. Daniel Green > Dan > Handyman > Dandyman.

I know this is a 45 series build [?] thread, okay pretend-to-build thread, but if y'all got five then I'm lookin fer feedback. It's the first of [hopefully] many YouTube videos. My MO is to educate and empower people through mass media. It's a little light on as far as hard info, but it's aimed at up-schooling ordinary folk so they can go about seemingly difficult tasks with confidence. Plus people seem to struggle with any stimulus longer than 5 mins.

Couple questions:

1. Thoughts on the content of this episode.
2. Thoughts on the production value.
3. What to do next?
4. What have you always wanted your girl/mother/daughter/son to know but didn't have time or couldn't articulate?
5. Can my 'Murican brothers understand my Aussie drawwwwwwllllllll?
6. Think I'll do a longer, more detailed version of this video for those who really want to get deep into it?
7. Thanks lads and ladettes!

No, but your tone tells me I don't need to. At least in double denim and with a name like that I'll have the LGBT crowd.

It refers more to paying attention to the way you dress than to sexuality, but if it broadens your market, its all good right?

But the video is good, how about a compilation of bush fixes and problems you can solve with cable ties and hose clamps?

Hey Dan, Nice work on the video mate. One of the things I've always loved about Mud is that it takes you inside blokes sheds. Could you visit some sheds. There are also a really good 'bobber' bike and custom hot rod building community in Sydney. Sheds, art, hot rods, coffee.......I'd tune in. Great stuff man. Cheers, Ben

P.S. I've love to see a professionally developed video series following Twisty's build up of the LV45.

cool video..........................but I think you should have got Bushtucka Man. Now thats some good tucka!

Do i recall you once saying you trained as a panel beater or spray painter? You could do some 101 panel/paint videos. I'd be into that.
Lol hae you seen my painting?? Actually it's not too bad, but I ain't no spray painter. But I ain't no mechanic neither and I made that video work..

@sneaky I knew there'd be one!

Returning from an audition last week when it started popping on deceleration. At first I was stoked cause it sounded like Brocky across the top of the mountain [slight exaggeration], but then got concerned when it wouldn't hold a decent idle. Asked around and turned out the dizzy cap and rotor button had been arcing out.

Fast forward to today and some toys have arrived. Pretty stoked at the quality and price. All Bosch [as was OEM fitment] and all this for $123!! The quality is so superior it's amazing. I'm so keen to get these suckers on! The original coil is the barrel type, so I'll have to make this here new type fit. There's a solid AF bracket under the bag of hardware so shouldn't be an issue. The coil and distributor were the only things I didn't touch on that motor, and all were OEM parts if I recall. Even the carb is original to that engine. Curious to see if there'll be a noticiable power increase once it's getting decent spark again?

Anyway, will report back soon..
