For LR owners, this does qualify as "OFFROADING"!! Probably their most common/popular activity.......

Interesting towing technique, I suspect the tow driver's wife owns one.:hillbilly:

Now now, that right rear tire has seen some serious spaz-monkey throttle action... These types of professional off-roading demonstrations are usually followed with a "There's a button?" conversation...

I haven't posted anything to this thread in awhile, but thought this might be a good image to come back with.

I recently got involved in a monthly photo "war" where Legos have to be incorporated into every image. This was the first month of the competition so I decided to throw a 40 into the mix as well.

NIce metal work on that!

Saw a new Chevy Volt the other day. Nice looking car, but the right rear taillight was stuck on. I can't imagine that's the way it was designed, more likely GM quality at work.

The Volt, along with almost every other "green" car the auto makers have tried shoving down our throats, is bull****. Didn't know the Volt was also poorly made, but I could've guessed. I wish our government had let GM/Chrysler fail.

Good God... I hate the Prius but at least it's Toyota quality. Hybrids

He's riding the brakes to keep the MPG down.

Grand Falls

I can't believe that I have lived in Arizona since 1988 and until a few weeks ago I had no idea that Grand Falls existed.

We went up there yesterday and was just blown away by the place, simply spectacular there.

The most overlook place in AZ IMO. Make it next time after a rain.

THAT is beautiful! I would love to go there and see a view like that.

It is hard to believe that it is just a little ways outside of Flagstaff, you don't need a 4 wheel drive to get there, and no one knows it is there.

My understanding is that the best time to visit is March and April during the spring runoff, but it can be pretty impressive during monsoon season as well.

I would highly recommend 4WD and lockers during the rainy season. The road there can get very muddy requiring heavy use of the skinny pedal and lockers.:D After a rain the falls are violent to put mildly, unbelievable amount of power.

Scott your picture is almost better then the falls in real life

I can see where the road in would get very muddy after a decent rain.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually had a setting wrong in my camera, I have a bad habit of not resetting everything between shoots. I have one other posting through the link I shared, and there will be 2 or 3 more coming in the next couple days.

Great photo and great place. I went there in early 90's during the spring run off of a very heavy snow year. I was blown away – During a heavy run off it is thundering - the water “shoots” out like a spill way on a dam and the mist envelopes the whole canyon

The photos do not put the proper scale on the height and width of those falls. . I think I may check it out this monsoon season and see if I can time a thunderstorm…

I will look for my old film pix and see if I can digitize them for mud.

Thanks for sharing the great shot..
