Reading the news, reading the news, reading the... Hey, is that a line of land cruisers?

This thread has mainly been about videos and pictures. Here's something I got in the mail.

I think that is the first time I have seen a 100 make an ad appearance for a mainstream company.

Also, there is no room left for that second Yeti cooler. 2 Yeti coolers and a Yeti hat, that is subtle product placement for sure. ;<)

Nice pic of a 40 up near Big Sur in Cali.

This is from a diamond rax roof rack advertisement

Just happened to see this last week. Very good coverage of LC's.

Was watching a "Fifth Gear" episode where they compare the ICON FJ to a normal FJ.... In the background at the ICON shop.... An 80.... I'd like to see what they did with it....

"I am a big fan of the Defender" "I think it can be upgraded to be the worlds best"
To do this, the company aims to retain the Defender's iconic silhouette, which Ratcliffe describes as being like "a listed building" but then upgrading everything else about the car so that it is as reliable as the Toyota Land Cruiser but with "the Defender's superior off road qualities." uh huh....

Is the Land Rover Defender coming back from the dead?

would be sweet. And to be fair every test I've ever seen from magazines in countries that sell both the cruiser and the defender always end like this for the most part. "off road the defender is the better vehicle approach/departure, break over, suspension, it all works better that is until you switch the lockers on in the cruiser"

Was in LA in Feb of 2005 for work and had a few hours to spare before flying out and visited both Specter & TLC/Icon. Jonathan wasn't there but a really nice guy named Elvin took time to give me a walk around tour of the shop inside and out and that VW van was being worked on! Don't remember seeing the white 80 but it could have been there....that place is overwhelmingly cool!

Found it.....sitting outside along the wall with the basket still on the roof..... Video was shot shortly after my visit!

Most likely just regular 4x4 upgrades. They started out as just a mod shop for the most part and still do that as well as suspensions systems and full turn key customs like the broncos/fj's.

They did some work on my friends Dad grand wagoneer back in my highschool years. San Fernando valley is a hot bed of tuner shops, performance parts, specialty shops. We could find just about everything you needed back in the day. PAW got large chunks of my pay checks from my after school jobs.

Hell you could most likely have found a tuner to get the 80 ready in 1 week ;)

This isn't a cruiser, but it is pretty damn cool. Thought I would share.
