Signed up for my first Cruise Moab last night. I am really looking forward to it. Will have to bring the LX450 since the pig is in disrepair. But CM should provide plenty of motivation for me and the boy to get her up and running for next year!

See ya there!

So, I take it staying at the slickrock campground is the thing to do? I have never attended, the wife and I usually go out to Moab and just wheel around/camp by ourselves. I like the idea of more human interaction and help on the trail when I get stuck. Probably registering tonight.

Yes, Slickrock is where most of the activity will be.

There are also local hotels that are a little cushier. :)

Quick question for anyone in the know. I have a job where I don't know anything till last minute. Is there ever a chance to sign up last minute, to fill in spots from people that may have cancelled (sort of like standby while flying)?

Thanks,
Deny

It might be better to register and get a refund (I think you can, up to a certain point) if it looks like you can't make it.

Fly into Fresno and drive one of my rigs over. :D

Hey if I can run my truck on 36 TSL swampers down to California, I'm sure running it with 35 radials to Utah would be nothing;) Thanks for the offer though.

Registering early gives you a better chance of choosing which trails you want to run. It's first come, first serve. Registration is usually full by February or March.

Ok, so if I register, when is the deadline to get most of your money back should things come up at work?
Thanks

I bet there would be someone probably on this board that didn't get their registration in that might take the registration off your hands if that should happen.

Only a few spots left and then Registration will be closed

There is still room on many trails, but registration will be closing soon. We have fewer than 10 registrations left.

Get'm while they're hot!

What time do the trail runs typically begin? How early is vehicle inspection? I'm arriving Thursday morning and will have to be inspected then, does that typically happen before the trail rides begin?

Tech Inspection opens early (7am). Most of the runs meet at 8:30 and leave at 9:00.

Golden Spike is 1 hour earlier, and Elephant Hill is 2 hours earlier.

You should be fine if you're getting in late Wednesday or very early Thursday.

Thanks Hants, I didn't think about the timing. I can't check in to my Slickrock spot until 11, looks like I may need to get there the night before. If that's the case, are there still spots open for the Wed. evening overnight run?
