Great Dan, just in time to enjoy Crusier Dan's Credit Card. Wait, did you pay your Rising Sun dues yet this year?

Hey Jeff, any word on what trails/days the FJs will be running?
There will be four FJ teams. They will each run separate trails each day. Their intention is to let CM registrants have a chance to get behind the wheel and actually test drive FJs for short stretches of trail. As of about last Wednesday, Cruise Moab is completely full according to our existing BLM permit. We are working to get the maximum number of registrants increased, as we were able to last year. As of this moment that is not a done deal yet, and as always it is first come first served, both with registration, and with trail assignments. The FJ teams have already registered some time ago, and their trail assignments will be made the same as we always do.

It's based primarily on first choices for each day, and on the order that registrations are received. Postmark on snail mailed registrations count as the same day an online registration is made.

I plan on making a first cut at trail assignments before the end of the month, this will be several weeks earlier than last year, due to our filling faster. Before trail assignments are made, we will be mailing out registration confirmations, simply letting you know that "you're in". Any that are over our BLM limit will be notified that they will be cued up in a waiting list, in order that their registration was dated. Since we always have some cancellations, people on the waiting list usually get in.

I won't know which days the FJs will be running which trails, until I get the complete database and have a chance to start sorting it down by trail choices and date of registration. The most recent database I got was about 1/2 of the total.

Now you know WAY more than you asked :-)

Happy cruisin'!

I got bad news...I'm not going to CM'06 as planned. Adjust your headcount accordingly.

When are confirmations going out?
Bruce, your registration was received on 1/4/06 and you were among the first. You're in, consider this as confirmation. We will be mailing out confirmations either via email or snail mail some time in the next week or so.

Still no confirmations yet, Any word for Alan, Mark, Ken , and Jason? (Ogden guys)

Alan,

I just got my confirmation yesterday via email. Nothing via snail mail yet. I just hope when I do get my confirmation they are trails i've done before. leading an unknown trail can be fun. 15 trucks lost in the middle of the desert always makes for good times.

Dave, does that mean you're a trail leader on as yet unknown trails? That could be fun.

yep that's exactly what it means. :D I went home at lunch and still no packet. I told RS I'd lead any trail that my 80 can survive. My first trip on Cliff Hanger was leading you guys at CM05 when Paul grenaded his case. Luckily I now have most of the trails down there under my belt.

I am trying to remember what trails we signed up for, maybe you'll be the leader on one of them. I think it was:
Thursday - Hell's revenge
Friday - Metal Masher
Saturday - Behind the rocks.

I also volunteered for any tailgunner duties needed.
