This crew cab is built to be put on a 78 lpb frame, that has been extended 16 inches, after the rear hanger, I´ll post up some photo´s of the frame,
The reason we used the older stlye frame is that is does not have that kick up and raised floor like the later style, this makes it a load easier to get people comfortably in the back seats without smaking their heads on the roof.

Frame length? LV, lpb or even longer frame? anyone?

He answered you already ;p

Very interested. Could you ship to the states, ie. colorado or the texas border. I'm looking for this exact set-up to start on a new cruiser. Pricing, shipping charges to Denver, CO?

Thanks,
Peter

What rear seat will fit in the cab Paul is building? Is there enough leg room after switching to a bench seat? Paul is the cab you are building the same size as a 40 cab? See pic below of jsaltlicks troopy with 40 cab? Looks like there is plenty of room in his Troopy.

wow neat photochops, so cool.

in the open statement paul said he was taking orders...:):)

am I just dreaming or could this be something that really happens?

do we need to show more support to keep this possibility alive?

I talked to the guy that owns the red one. He put one ambulance door only on the drivers side. Still cool though. Can't tell of that's a shorter bed or a stretched wheelbase

Merbesfield,

Your photochop is what I have wanted for a long time. There is an outfit in Queensland that does that to the HJ77/8/9, but I've never seen one on a 45/7. I have measured it on my troopie, and it is certainly do-able (although well beyond my ability as a welder). If you can find a shop to do in the Up Above, I can find the troopies.

I'm looking for a clean HJ47 pickup now to do an xtra cab conversion to before we move back to the US (only 12"- I'm 6'6" and can't fit in a regular cab pickup). I figure with my HJ47 troopie, my FJ40 LX and a nice xtra cab HJ47 pickup, I will be pretty well set up:).

My Mother-in-law here in Australia asked me why I had two Land Cruisers- I told her it was because I could not afford three.

Cheers,

Josh

G'day again,

I found the snap of the extra door that is added by the place in Qld. There is also a 4 door HJ75 pickup running around town here, but I have not been able to get a photo of it.

Cheers,

Josh

Kina- How much do you think it would cost to actually do this??

Funny, I told my wife the reason I had 4.5 Cruisers was so that I could make one out of the non-rusted parts. I too have wanted one of these 4-door crew cabs for a while as well. But, I really do not want RHD. I am sure I could get use to driving it, but up here, they are considered a bit of an oddity and do not carry as much re-sale value. Yes, I know you should never look at a Cruiser for re-sale value, but if you are going to put a good bit of money into a custom crew cab, I think it would be foolish to not consider the future value some what. I am sure Paul could add 2 doors quite easily to a Troopy, but you have to get it to him first then back. Lots of shipping cost. The 4 door cab he is building in this thread looks very nice.

My truck is configured just like jsaltlick, but I have the rear bench. Seats 3 comfortably with plenty of headroom and typical legroom. The photoshop with the third door is a cool concept.

photochop, this is what I want ;)

that's a great chop. dig it!

couple of things to keep in mind or think about. please do not take this as a negative response, cause it's not;
1) shape/size of rear doors?! ( modify some fronts to make them more visually appealing )
2) removeable top? (major b pillar mods required,...........might weaken the structural integrity of the tub)
3) fuel filler and tank location

those are my major concerns with a conversion like this. there are lots of smaller issues to consider as well of course.

i agree with all you said. removable top would be interesting but not worth the extra effort. what could be done with the fuel filler location, any ideas?
