I recently found out that I didn't have any cowl vent tubes as it was raining here and my floorpans were wet. Tracked it down to missing tubes and did a search. Found that OEM tubes are available, but expensive. Some guys use heater hose or whatever but have commented on difficulty of installation. I was in Wal-Mart the other day and saw a package if bilge and aerator hose for marine application and it was very cheap, like $8, so I picked up a package and what do you know but they fit perfectly! I mean like they were made for it good. The hose is labeled as 3/4", but every foot or so is a smaller short section without corrugations and that is the part that slips perfectly onto the drains in the bottom of the cowl. Even came with 2 clips to hold it in place, but they don't really seem necessary. The hose is very flexible and fit thru the access hole in the firewall well and turned the corners without kinking. Took me about 10 min to cut the hose and put it in.

Thanks for that. After reading your first sentence, and glancing down at the pic., I laughed , what better way to get rid of the water than to use a bilge pump!:hillbilly:

you may want to unkink your heater hose (third pic at the firewall right next to the white hose) - should help with circulation of engine coolant

Yeah I know. I've been looking at that. I'll get to it but it doesn't seem to cause any real restriction so for now it's on the back burner. Thanks though.
