Just FYI... if anyone ever hears me mention going to expo west or anything even resembling it again, just kill me. There is so much neat stuff here in N Az, and NM national forest land. We’ve had a great couple nights wild camping getting here then to be in this cluster Fawk is just stupid. And to pay to camp here even worse . I’m embarrassed, so please don’t take my #EAF sticker away. I am SO glad We are leaving Sat morning to n. Rim of Grand Canyon then heading east towards Moab area for next week.. I’ll have to upload more pics when I have a better signal

So Dave. I have the opportunity to be there this weekend easily but I decided I would rather drive a rental car around California and Utah than deal with that bunch of fuctards.

The camping gear I bought won’t hold up to the high 30s so I backed the Flex up to Room 12

We bugged out of the expo early this morning and went by some cool Indian rock art then we dropped down to the Co river then on to the N rim of the Grand Canyon, I’d been to the south rim and there were way to many folks there but the N rim is totally diffrent and pretty dang cool. After that we hit a trail Nolen had advised since it was really close to one we had planned on taking anyway, it was a good one.. we are currently camped at about 8,000 ft in the high desert about a mile from the Utah border with a beautiful view and no one within miles .. heading to a lake Powell overlook on Sunday ..then dirt roading it towards Moab and adventures we have yet to figure out

Yesterday I visited Black Canyon NP and then Great Sand Dunes.

I ended up at the airport on time only to face a 2.5 hour delay. We made it to,the cabin at 2 am.

End of part 1. 1950 mikes. 7 National Parks. Less than 50 miles of interstate.

Epic trip. Thanks @beno for some great routes.

I got this beaver kitchen box a while back. Really like it but I’ve been wanting something large enough to hold my Skottle as well.

That loose Skottle hurts my feelings when packing. Even in the bag.

I was searching for 30” x 20” to get the Skottle and legs in one spot.

Found it But new the box is almost $400

I found one on eBay for $125 shipped and scooped it up

Skottle. Legs. Utensil roll. 3 1# bottles all fit nicely.

Took all the loose stuff from the Beaver and jammed it into one FR box and I’m square now.

Ready for “the season” to start around here.
