They're weather men... they don't know so they give scenarios to cover all asses

Hey guys,

This weather has slowed down. Now it looks like rain all night Friday night all day Saturday into Saturday night in NE Alabama

Mena Arkansas, on the other hand, weather is out of the area by Thursday night

I am gonna bail on the Alabama trip and head to Arkansas. I don't have a plan yet but as much as I want to explore that area I just want to be outside and not huddled up under an awning trying to stay warm and dry.

Sorry DNP, I know you put a lot of thought into this. Braswell and Shunt, sorry guys.

If anyone wants to go to Arkansas instead I'm going to call my buddy in Mena and get some info. I'll post up my plans as soon as I can.

Of course, if this weather changes I'm flexible.

guys, thinking this over myself. I am taking my little man with me and I want him to have fond memories of camping with his old man and not resent me. Yes, he needs to learn to tough it out of weather turns on us, but I don't necessarily want to march right into it either. So, if there is an opportunity to be spontaneous (and dodge some nasty weather) I am a hard lean in that direction. I know @dnp has out in the work and I want to see this part of Alabama (bad), and also hang with braswell, Hagen, DNP, Rick, and boss man, but these weekends are very rare for me at this stage of life with 4 kids and work kicking me in the Johnny. So, all that said, it looks like I will be on Nolens 6 to Arkansas. Not trying to swing anyone to changing their plans. I hope y'all stick with the plan and I hope it's the best weekend ever. This one is about my son and helping nolen enjoy his birthday so those considerations won the day for me.

Yes. I'm with you DNP. Plenty of fun out there as long as I'm not camping and if I have a choice.

Not trying to start a mutiny. I promise. Just wanted to get this out ASAP so y'all know.

Run PMc....hope you can get free and go.

Well, I've got vacation time to pull back, truck inspection and dog boarding to undo if we cancel.
Lemme know on here before tomorrow please.

Well, I bought stinking 8x8 cake pans for Grogan's oven!

Friday night and half a day Sat is probably going to be out the window.

Doesn't look like a good time to camp.

Pay attention Shunt. DNP ain't cancelling.

PMc and I are going to Cedar Rock outside of Mena.

Doc Mesco is in town and he can give us some great spots to visit during the day Saturday.

Seriously. Sorry to bail David.

I know that now, but until he and I talked, there had been no mention. All is well.

I'm out this weekend. With the weather it won't be nearly as scenic this weekend.

I'm just going to postpone until 11/14 and do some exploring with a local buddy - probably around Helen & Clayton (GA).

DANG. As much as I'm trying to be optimistic about the weather. It looks like it's gone be miserably wet all evening Friday and into Saturday morning. The sports talk guys at lunch were hoping the rain would be gone by kick-offs Saturday... but even they are not too optimistic that that will happen.
I'm keeping my day off. I need it regardless. But I may literally be a Friday morning decision to see just how fast/slow the wet front is moving through.

DNP, E and whomever is still on the fence.
I've got lots of room to keep folks dry Friday night.
30 x 40 shop and another 2 car garage so anyone can sleep under cover and keep their gear dry.
Plus, I am close enough to still make use of sites you want to be during the day.

Still planning on going... Just trying to see which way to pack! Hotel... Or camp fire...

Tough call fir me but since I am already in Arkansas I guess I'll hook up with Nolen and PMC and hope for better weather. Sorry guys, was really looking forward to this group of misfits...
