My friend Jim (came to the Crawl with us last year) is riding with me. I know some of the others are far enough away to make it difficult for a weekend excursion, but JTTMFT, what's up? :D

I'm trying my best to make sure we'll have showers at least in the area of where we'll be both nights (if they're state facilities, they'll likely have hot water; if they're federal, probably not)

Run PMc, we'll be happy to pitch in with you on food. That'll save lots of duplication, and I'll also have space to carry some of the stuff, if needed. Just let me know what you need me to pick up, so you're not having to do it all yourself.

As for eating out - say, Saturday night - I say let's do it (Chattanooga is right there, after all) I'm not worried about being dirty.....none of those people know us up there!

Lupi's Pizza Pies | Home | Hometown. Homemade. really good pizza, "earthy" type of place. I went climbing on TN wall alot and we would go there after 3 full days on the rock and by a camp fire. Good beer selection, pies, calzones, and right downtown. cool area.

If DNP is not worried about eating out dirty but some of you are, yall be getting soft.

I'm gone do my best to take this literally, cause if it's a metaphor.... JEEBUS.

Friday night. Braswell. Have us a pan of moist brisket. 8x8 aluminum pan. Cut.

I have the way to heat it up right on the trail.

We will do Brisket Tacos.

I can put one on Thurs after work. I am going to have to finish it in the oven just to get it done in time but you will never be able to tell the difference.

I love going camping. I always eat better than when at home...

I'm still up for meeting y'all somewhere Saturday morning. I can be in N. GA around 9ish. Just give me some coordinates or an intersection. I don't know all of the Georgia Traverse as documented but I do know the area pretty well.

There is one trail in particular that a stock LC can do, if you want to push your comfort zone a little. It's not on the Traverse, but its not far from his track either. The trail I know starts near the intersection of Hwy 60 and Hwy 180 (Wolf Pen Gap Convenience store) and connects to the Cooper Creek Rd (on the GA-T track).

Also, I know of a good camp spot on Hawk Mtn for a group our size. It's just north of Springer Mtn and the AT skirts just north aound the peak of Hawk Mtn. Dunno how far east you wanted to get by Saturday night. I also know of some spots just north of Helen on Tray Mtn. There is one "fun" road on that mtn too.

Don't let me over complicate anything y'all want to do. I'm happy to just jump in line if that works for the group.

Do you have coordinates to share?

I'll PM you my ph# to try to contact on Sat

Hory Cwap! Wolf Pen Gap Store is in the middle of North Georgia... That area by itself is an awesome area but a good clip from The beginnings points. Regardless of what happens, this sounds like it's gone be one badass adventure!

I can't believe how much crap I am throwing in/on my truck for this weekend camping trip. Its truly rediculious. I'm posin' my ass off!

I'ma make a pose if you show up without a jar or three of rootbeer...

If you haven't thrown a pack of baby wipes in, do it.
