Poly coated bullets have been available for years in the reloading community. You can even buy them made in Canton, MS. Shooters Bullets - Cast Bullets and Cast Ammunition
The big difference is the cost vs shooting plated or fmj ammo along with getting less smoke, press fouling and barrel leading than shooting pure lead bullets... In other words, they are not breaking any new ground and any claim that poly coated bullets are better than traditional full metal jacket is suspect. I question their decision to use a red tip as in most instances that is the color of inert dummy rounds.

So there are a lot of these "Solvent Trap kits" on Amazon and the apparent use is to convert a D-cell MagLite into a suppressor of the AR variety. Who knew?
