New S&W shield .40 is dead on. Shot my name in a pumpkin at 40 yards from a lying down position.... On side one handed. Its the perfect weight for reactive firing.

Why?.....Most defensive/reactive targets are not standing, squared up, one eyed closed shots. Ive been doing alot of weird angle, reflexive shooting and this is truly the perfect weight/caliber for my "estimated" situations.

I'll get pics of shot groups next time. I was pleased.

These two guys that shoot all the silenced stuff I know like the .44 because even subsonic it kills good to 50-60 yards.

Suppressors don't kill the sonic boom so you have to find a heavy enough subsonic round to lay some weight

I can get a full TC Encore Integral barrel for $950

Let me know how Boondocks goes. Natalie does not respond well to my militant style of training on hand guns!!
Ive thought about going to them.

Cliff Cargill is legit and its allegedly a state of the art facility. I haven't been there yet, but shoot with several of their instructors. If Cliff is teaching, it's probably worth the money.

I'd much rather have a thread on than integrally suppressed for a number of reasons.

Yeah that's true for something other than .44 but this thing would be lots more accurate as an Encore barrel don't you think?

Will cost me $950 + fees.

Thoughts? I've not bought yet.

How bad is it getting when DNP is stocking up? :)
Ha! Been thinking about it for a while, but when I saw that one of Nolen's pigs had ammo'd up, I figured it's time.....

Trying to suppress a 44 magnum is like trying to suppress Dolly Parton's chest... it's not ment to happen:moon::hillbilly:

Picked up a new piece at the gun show yesterday.

M & P Shield by S & W. 9MM. Been looking for a smaller 9 for concealed carry for awhile now. It was between this, Glock 43 and Sprinfield XDS. Found a good deal on this one, so went with it. Also, I like the way it fits my hand, especially with the larger clip.
