I'd be more concerned if you have any plans to buy an SBR or suppressor using a gun trust. ATF might make a ruling as early as May of this year.
You can find plenty of .223/5.56 ammo without the steel tip right now. Might be a good idea to buy some to have on hand.

I would tell you how I really feel about this adminstration pulling every trick in the book to run an end around on congress and limit the 2a, but then Euclid would perma ban me from the cottonland board for my choice of language.
same thing. xm855 is probably the second most common 5.56 ammo there is outside of 55gr xm193.
Completely not the point. Both are egregious, but this sets the stage for a ban on any "military caliber" to be designated "not for sporting use".. which is all fine and dandy for Elmer Fudd because he doesn't shoot AR-15's... but then Elmer learns that 45/70, 30-06, .308, etc.. are all "military calibers", and by then it's too late. Having a trust and a suppressed SBR are completely meaningless if the ammo needed to make it run is illegal. You basically have a $2000 aluminum paperweight. Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed about rule 41p... im pissed about the atf changing the definition of "manufacturing" in regards to an 80% lower, I'm pissed about the change in the legality of the sig brace (although I knew that was coming).. every step they take moves one step closer to an outright ban on guns... This decision, i think, opens a whole new avenue for these a-holes to ban guns.
the FCC (under pressure from Obozo) passed Net Neutrality today. Plan on having additional fees added to your internet service since the Obozo supporters will need their, "free" internet just like the free Obozo phones.

I agree completely. People should realize what is happening little at a time and realize just how important it is to vote for pro 2A candidate.
If you do not vote, you might as well be voting for the anti 2A folks.
The anti 2A folks have realized that they cannot ban the most popular sporting rifle so they're going after the ammo.
It doesn't even matter if you vote, if the President can use executive authority to change decades old law with a flick of a pen without any input from congress. This entire administration has been a 6 year long constitutional crisis and the ******* in congress lack the sack to do anything about it.
One more thing for the many of the cheap* a$$ Land Cruisers Owners....
You should be a member of the NRA if you enjoy your 2A rights.

Sounds like to me we need to take away the executive authority! All that does is give whoever possesses it the ability to say "oh yeah? Well take that!" and sign it into law! A dictatorship is what we have!

Spending money on guns/shooting is something I've never had an issue with.
Nothing local local, but matches in Biloxi, poplarville, north ms. Ive never shot a 3-gun match, been all pistols up until now.... But it's just a matter of time now that I have a suitable shotgun.

Been looking for a deal on one of these since they came out 2 years ago. Have been solely an o/u guy for the last 5 yrs, but my pucker factor gets high every time I take my o/u into a duck blind. I'd be sick if I dropped it in the water.
I hope you guys don't mind, but I web wheel over here alot and wanted some opinions.
I picked up a Pelican 1750 to carry some of my "sporting rifles" and after playing with it some I was able to get two rifles and a 1911 in it but I'm afraid it feels crowded. Everything has at least an inch of clear space around it for foam. Thoughts..
I want to use the space wisely, but don't want to overdo it. The 20" barrel, scope and fixed stock makes the black gun a space hog but I would like to carry both rifles in the case. I pulled the scope off, but it takes up more space when off then it does on due to it needing space around it.
Appreciate any input.
Also, saw that the ATF has tabled the M855 discussion for the time being, but will have to keep an eye out to make sure they don't try to slide something by us.
@tcb what are you going to use for your 3rd gun? I got a buddy that has gotten into 3gun shooting. Looks like alot of fun.
