All of our range M-16's have the "go fast in spurts" parts but the TALC guys have the M4's that have the 1/4 mile speed parts! Love those!

This guy knew all about them thangs....

I would consider a Ruger mini-14 instead of the AR and 10mm semi-auto pistol from Glock or Colt.

10MM is the best all around caliber (.40s&w on roids) and it's good at everything from hunting, defense, etc...

I did shoot a sig p226 (.40) over the holidays and it's a nice piece too.

Funny you say that. I've always wanted a Mini-14. I like them more than AR platform. Especially if I have no desire to hang a bunch of crap off it.

10mm.....that ammo is everywhere. It's a beast for sure. Shot but never owned.

You can pick up a mini at wally mart... ~$600. The ranch rifle is a great buy for that price.

Mine is a 1970 something model and still shoots great with unknown thousands of rounds through it. I did recently have a flash suppressor and trigger job done by a well respected gun smith and it is even more fun and accurate now.

10mm ammo is around but not cheap, of course it's not a planking round for me so price is not a big factor. Get it in buffalo bore and you could take down just about anything in NA.

My next purchase will most likely be 44 mag. I'm thinking Ruger Red Hawk or S&W. Any 44 shooters here?

I've got a Super Redhawk w/8-3/4'' barrel, just had a trigger job done on it, factory trigger is awful, & even with the long barrel it is a beast, usually run .44 Special through it. I had a scope on it, but took it off, without a rest you can not hold 8-9lbs of pistol steady enough for it to be useful.

For sale?

That is what I used to have.

I'd only shoot at deer with a rest anyway

Ok, I'll play. (Mine)
Wood stocks are cool!

It's a handle that transforms the gub into a machine gun.

STI Nitro 10, released at SHOT show 2014

Hey Grog,

Check out the new STI pistol. This pistol comes with a fully supporteded chamber (unlike many other 10mm 1911s.). Should be available in about 4 months at STI distributors/dealers. MSRP is $1541.

If you want something with more knock down power, might look at a .50 GI pistol from Guncrafter Industries.

I really would prefer a .44 revolver for deer hunting over any type of auto loader.

Not for sale, had it since I was 15, carried that heavy mother in a shoulder rig pig hunting, scope was just more weight for that anyways…….good luck, they have gotten higher than giraffe p#$$y around here anyways
