I love the ruger mark III with a bull barrel...I have one but stainless and I have great memories shooting can growing up with my dad.

I still have it. I think it's a Mark II though. It's old ad you can see by the sun breeches and the plastic hat

Yeah, the Mark III was just introduced 10 or so years ago... Gotta be a II. One of my all time favorite pistols.

Doubt I'll go deer hunting this year. I gave up the lease this year since my daughter hunts with me and her college is nowhere near the lease. The collateral damage from this is Fireman and Bailey can't go hunting with me now. The lease was just north of where they live.

I'm going crazy not being in the field. I broke down last weekend and shot a squirrel with a BB gun. He was stealing bird food from the feeder. That SOB had it coming....

Pathetic.

You have some rednecks headed your way so we will come up a shoot s*** with you next year

Then I have a Mark II cause I was shooting it at will's age

They look the same. Only differences I can think of off the top of my head is the loaded chamber indicator on the right side of the upper and the trigger disconnect that wont let it fire without a magazine in it. Several companies make aftermarket bits to remove the additional "safety features" of the III. Damn lawyers. I think the mags/mag release might be different as well. It's been years since I've seen a II.

You are correct, the Mark II differs from the III by the magazine release. The II has the release of the bottom of the grip, and the III has the magazine release just below the trigger guard like a 1911.
