that looks like a clean setup...assume you are buying the ipad with cellular option rather than running it through your phone for network access? I've been sold on a reasonably large tablet for nav...in a vehicle...as I get older the ability to read the @#% screen is a problem and I hate trying to see the small screen on a phone and details on the smaller gps's are very hard to discern... any difference on performance of the ipad with different providers....i'm on Verizon for cellphone?

Thx. Mine is a Verizon model with cellular built in. Much less hassle that way IMO. It's been great so far. Bout 8 trips with no issues. I have learned to always take a paper backup tho...

I have an iPad pro on the way from Verizon to demo...
 
yea..I've got to consider my next tablet....I've bought a few things over time that did not "add value" as I expected but more so added frustration.
 
I moved the magnet mount over to the 100 and the 60 and they both work great with it.

I have 2 phones so one hard mount for Maps one for grabbing for notes and photos on the magnet.
 
146.460 is the go to channel among many TLCA/MUD members. You can use just about any channel you want for a given trip - nothing special about one or another, just as long as everyone in your group is TX and RX on the same freq.
 
Well I'll be radioless. Amazon took 2 days to tell me I clicked the old credit card in our amazon acct.
 
Does anyone know how to get data off a corrupted flash drive? It keeps acting like it is trying to load and the light flashes but it acts like the drive is empty and starts the drive loading process over and over, never opening the data. I wonder if it got too close to the magnet on the charging plug on my MacBook and corrupted it.

I would really like the data off of it because I was an idiot and haven't backed it up in forever. Geeksquad wanted a $50 diagnosis fee and another $250 to get it off if there was still data. That seems crazy high, and they needed my computer while they did it for some reason.
 
If it's truly corrupted your only option is advanced data recovery of some sort. If they can actually get data for $250+ that's a bargain. We've paid thousands on behalf of customers before.
