Hi everyone,

I am a Newbee to this forum, as well as a newbee to owning my first 1982 FJ40. I have a really simple question to start. The color of my wheels are brown. I really like the "cement gray" colored wheels I have seen on other FJ40's and was wondering what the "correct" colors for a 1982 are?

Thanks!

1982 should have spoke rims, similar to 60 series, but white. almost positive they were white.

Those are 16" split rim and the color is wrong. Stock 40's came with 15" non split rims

OK thanks everyone for the input! I'll probably keep the wheels but will powder coat them. Is white the only correct color then, or would the gray look acceptable for 1982?

This. :)

On a slightly related note. As far as matching the grey on OE 15"s we've been very happy with Cardinal RAL 7042 P008-GR21 powdercoat.

OP is in Florida, which is apparently crawling with SA imports. Those 16" splits are probably correct for a So. American truck. Still should be gray, though.
