1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62
1989 FJ62 for sale. I originally purchased this land cruiser to restore. It’s sat up for roughly 8 months and I barely touched it. Roughly 260k miles. The engine runs fantastic. 4 speed manual...jackson.craigslist.org

I’m still wondering why Toyota decided to do that.
why pay for massive R&D when you can just use what’s available already and let the other person suck up the costs.

^^Everyone I know who's had them says the same thing. Same with Mercedes.^^
One would hope Toyota wouldn't wager their reliability reputation by simply re-badging a BMW as a Supra, although it sure seems that way. While the joint effort with Subaru was somewhat understandable, this collaboration with BMW seems destined to turn out to be a huge mistake.
Who knows, maybe they ditched Bosch for Denso and they let the Japanese get in the BMW and re-engineer some of those idiotic designs, like having an oil passage in the alternator bracket!
