My fj55 is taking too long to restore. I’m sad. I needed something that runs and drives. Only requirement: Must be more rare than a 55. Is this possible? It is! Say hello to the 1965 Nissan Patrol mild special let hand drive oddity

Yeah those are even rarer than 55’s for sure.

However, you bring shame to the Pig Sty… I’m sure your 55 is worth waiting on. Suck it up buttercup! Haha, mostly kidding. Good things come to those who wait… or have money… or have time and skill to fab stuff.

Anyway I always liked those old patrols. I’ve only her been around 2-3 of them. That said, you won’t be finding much sympathy here! ;)

The Pig resto is alive and well! ! I just need an interim weird vehicle !

Out of curiosity any idea yet what parts availability is like for the patrol?
When I had mine some were available. Starter and alternator were sourced from forklift parts, mine was just a straight 6 so carb came off a Chevy, had to open up the bolt holes but went right on. Unless your talking body parts and interior then it’s like pig buy 3 to make one. If I remember brakes were my hard parts to find. But as anything goes I’m sure there’s pieces you can retrofit to make work or just put some cruiser axles under and call it done

There is a word for these actions

Seen 1 2 years ago at gas station. Guy says they're rare 🤔🧐. Found 6 for sale that same day. Rare is the Sazuki jeep with a 2 stroke engine 😉
Well, they only imported 2400 of the Patrols between 1962 and 1969. So that’s pretty rare. I’ve never even heard of a 2 stroke Suzuki, ta prolly even less if those. This Patrol came full of vintage tools for some reason… love it!! It’s like an Easter egg hunt!

Well as some don’t approve of a Nissan on this hallowed ground… all can appreciate a Nissan that came just packed with tools. Mostly vintage…😬

That is way cool, I’ve been Lucky to find old map or two but what was left in yours blows that out of the water. Congrats!

Google it. It's pretty cool, gotta mix gas and oil in tank. Saw 1 years ago at Laconia bike week when my Buddy was doing holeshots in reverse on his Yamaha RD350 2 stroke triple 😳😲🤔🧐🤣🤣🤣👍

Nice find. I want to say this one was a 1965 but I could be remembering wrong. I mean there were only about 30 or so Land Cruisers around so I wasn't paying that much attention to the odd Patrol or GMC pickup. I do recall it being all original with incredibly low mileage. It wasn't for sale so I'm pretty sure it was as advertised.
