With little else to do I have continued the re-work on the CDL motor.

So have clean the brushes and the melted plastic, cleaned all metal and spring assemblies, made good o-ring seal and made a new breather pipe using an old metal ball pen ink tube.

Here are some pics.
plastic around brushes made them difficult to remove but with careful scraping and gentle pressure they popped out

Drilled the breather hole bigger to accept the new 3mm pen insert

Finally glued the new breather tube in place with two part metal epoxy. used the extra tube length I had to allow more glue around the joint to make sure that it stay in. Also made a retaining bobble on the end so that the tube clip has some help retaining the tube in place.
Will tidy up with a light sand paper, not that it matters under the car nobody will see it.
