common crack? fixes?

how has anyone else fixed these cracks. rear doors, both side. appears to be a common crack prone area as most swines of this generation that I've seen have this issue.

Yep, mine had that same crack, I didn't fix it, but if you wanted to, you could pull all the glass and weatherstripping. Drill a hole at the end of the crack, grind a "V" down the crack and weld it. Smooth it out and repaint it..... I should have when I had everything apart, but I was too anxious.

Thats exactly what I did with mine. Alot of work but it wasn't to bad really.

You could possibly keep the door together and do small stitch welds,and use a wet rag by to cool it down each time you do a weld. I have seen this done on interior panels that were very close to rubber and fabric.
 
I just looked after I saw this thread, and one of my doors has this crack.
