That one cost more than the three trailer tires combined! Thanks Oklahoma City for the crappy streets, and cavernous potholes!!!!!

Roads suck around Memphis.....over into OKC..... I use to travel that a good bit when I was GI-Joe at Ft Sill, OK...not much improvement in the years that have passed by.

I do believe that's the whole problem . Need to up grade them there tar's Henry . "E" rated for the load you got .

As a matter of fact the axel and tires are rated for 10,000 lbs (19.5 G rated Goodyear truck tires) Airbags, Heavy Sway Bar Latest Husky Weight Distributing Hitch, with the heaves tortion bars available! Etc. Etc.Etc.----- I could have built a razor!

At least Bruno is having fun wherever we go.
He could care less about fuel pumps and tires as long as I keep food in his bowl and water in his dish!

dang....I know some of the fuel issues on a diesel are $scarey....both on dmax and cummins.. I'm sure on a ford too. (Price of fame I guess...I keep debating on going diesel), so far I don't "have" too....based on weight..etc.

damn Henry, that hurts but I guess it's better than having to do the injectors a 2nd time this year. I assume you're mobile again and heading east? We'll be sittin around the campfire at Ralph's Friday night if you're so inclined and wanna drink the pain away.

I have less money in my entire tow rig than Henry has in upgrades and repairs!

Unsolicited advertisement for RCV axles: BUY THEM!

RCV warranty is even better than I expected. I expected it to be "no hassle", but this was more like "no effort". To get the axle replaced..... sent them a picture of the broken one and they're sending me a new one. DONE! I don't think it gets any easier or better than that.

39's + fat truck + low gears = 60's

:D
Pretty sure that 37's + Chuck Wagon + V8 Turbo Diesel warrants 60's waaaaayyy before my setup. :flipoff2:

Did RCV say anything about the location of the break, just curious.

I think I gave you low down on the Henry's latest issues earlier today. I promise you have FAAAARRR less in the Gecko than that D-Max at this point, the bad fuel pump was the least of the problems.

You guys rock...Thanks for letting me hang out with in my RZR.
Thanks for the spotting and the reassurance/coaxing into some of those obstacles I wasn't going to do.

RCV asked me for NOTHING other than a picture of the broken part and my info. Case closed and new shaft is on the way.
*I do have to get the broken piece out myself though; they're only sending the shaft that broke, not a new joint.

I was referring to the Freightliner, not the Gecko; of which I have about 1/3 to 1/5 the amount that I have wrapped up in the Gecko. Not trying to be rude, just reiterating how pleased I am with having a semi as a tow rig.

Ah, gotcha. Either way Hendogs bill is still growing exponentially.

more problem with the dmax...other than two rear tires and fuel pump? I've been told if you are looking for a older Dmax...dont' go any older than the 2007 year model. I've been debating geting an 07 or something newer in dmax form...but so far I'm ok with the gas setup...I do want crew cab though....the single cab just does not "slice" it..

This isn't how to change a fuel pump, right!? Last i heard a head job and new head gaskets on top of the fuel pump and tire issues. Poor guy, I feel for him.

no...thats a big pain in the a$$ job right there.... I know they generally pull the cab on turbo swap...cylinder head jobs. Thats crazy...timing of that could not be worse, but I guess you gotta fix what's screwed up. Hate to to learn of that kind of repair. Looks like some type of different transmission cooler and or electric fan on there.. Sorry to hear of all of that...I thought it was something on a more minor scale.

Not sure it would not be a wise step to consider ARP studs on the heads....dont' know if thats a common path on a dmax or if studs would create any issues with head removal on the v8.

Seems like $$$ just burns left and right. I always seem to have two or three things screw up....not just one.

Holy cow!!! I'm sorry to see all of this Henry it looks like a mess. And I know it's a pain on the wallet. I hope u get it all back together. Are you even in Ga?

@Elbert As far as fuel problems with cummins I've never had any and I run my dodge very very low on fuel and never ran it dry or had to replace anything at all. I've ran it so low it says 0 miles to empty and I drive 30 more miles. Now maybe I'm just lucky. I have a buddy who has a diesel shop and he said he gets more d maxes and the Ford 6.0 and 6.4 l than anything. So I'd say get a cummins 5.9 or a Ford 7.3 will treat u well. Also a sump on the fuel tank will help solve some fuel issues with the fass system.
