Made my own out of some unistrut....took some time to make each bracket by hand,actually took about 2 weekends to complete and it holds my Yakima tent and had bars on side that slide out for a hammock to hang on.

Really dig your custom built rack. There’s a lot to be said when you build it yourself.
I’d vote for the Bowfin rack.
I have a concern with all the racks that use full length supports in/on the gutters. LandCruisers rust and the mere mention of water. Having a dam to trap water along the length of the roof does not seem like a good idea.
I know, nearly all racks mount in the gutters, and resealing the gutters should be done on all LC's, but if the LC lives in a wet climate, I think a full length mount would be a problem!

Time to update? I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a FrontRunner rack, and it seems most are happy with them?
Seems like the one to get in Europe, otherwise i'd have plenty to choose from. cant get a rack shipped across continents, will kill the deal.

Well I ended up with the Gamiviti rack... doesnt have the modularity of the frontrunner, but I like the more vintage look for the 62, and it comes with all kinds of mount points for whatever I want. And a clean lightbar mount area up front. I have frontrunner style sliders for more accessories if needed on my roofnest falcon as well.

I wanted a low profile rack but probably not a full rack. This thread was super helpful. I ended up going with a load bar kit from Front Runner. It’s actually for a Range Rover Classic but fits perfectly. It’s a few inches lower than my old Yakima rack. I have a third bar on order.
