That's exactly the measurements I new were problematic. I didn't want to make a phone holder that doesn't hold certain phones on the market. Phones continue to get bigger. In a few years there wouldn't be a single phone on the market that would fit in there and I didn't want customers angry when they bought it and there phone didn't fit. I have continued to expand my phone slots in all of my cup holders over the last 7 years. With many of them, I can't go bigger. I now have a minimum size requirement and that space was bellow the minimum. I do love the fact that you modified it to better meet your needs. I'm always excited to see what others come up with when modifying my products.View attachment 1951794
iPhone X in a tech21 case. Also fits my XR in a tech21 case, which is ever so slightly larger. Very secure, not going anywhere. If your phone is much bigger, especially with a case, it’ll be tight!

Velcro would work great. If you want something more permanent then you could use some 3M automotive adhesive. That sticks to plastic really well but doesn't let go once set up. There is also the option of just setting the insert back in it's hole if it comes out when removing the cup. I use a large thermos in my 80 series cup holders that sticks to the insert due to how snug it is. I just pull the insert off and put it back. Takes one second but could get annoying if it was a daily used cup. I only drive my 80 a couple weekends a month to go wheelin or camping. The cup holder is just a bit too tight for the coffee mug I take to work... fits but then pulls the cup holder out as well. What have the people that received the holder done to make sure it doesn't pull out with a cup? Thinking of just using velcro. Wanted to see if anyone has done anything else

Think it will be true of the 2009 as well, my cup holder doesn’t look like the initial pics either. Has a weird sideways ellipse shape on each side. And it’s is useless at holding any cup.I was just informed that these inserts were installed on a 2010 LX570 and they did not fit. I thought the consensus was that although there were differences in the console; the actual cup holder area was the same for all year 200s and LX570s. That seems to not be true. I need to get to the bottom of this asap. I'm already working on getting the 2010 LX570 OEM cup holder shipped to me to get the correct changes made to fit in this one. If someone does get a set of my inserts and it doesn't fit then let me know. I will make sure the other option is released quickly and will get it swapped out for the correct one. I will not leave you hanging with something that doesn't fit. This project is now at the top of my priority list. It's weird that I just shipped out the 50th pair of inserts and not one person has mentioned a fitment issue. Wondering if it's only in the LX570 and for a short time run.
Now your just screwing with me. So does this mean ALL year 200 Landcruisers have the same cup holder? Does the LX570 have a different cup holder for all years or did they switch and share the Landcruiser cup holder at some point.I have 2008 LC and your cup holders fit perfectly
