@Bret Has spun up some interest in CLC for me. I might be able to join for this ride if my GF wants to do it with me. We'd have to depart pretty early in the AM to make the meet.

Hoping to make this one now that the 60 is up and running! I read through the trail rating but I'm new to this and sounds like some of you have done this one before and it seems like its on the lower end of the scale, but for a stock 60 think it would make the trip? Also if some of its bad are there bypasses?
thanks in advance

After the research it looks to be more along the lines of a forest service road with some muddy spots rather than a real challenging trail. I am just wondering if the trail has some fun challenging bits that would make it worth the drive.

The trail itself is relatively mild but when it has snow it can be a lot of fun.

The trail is mild, but there are a few fun spots that will surely challenge a new driver. We had a new guy sweating pretty bad on this run at one time. Nothing your stock 60 cannot handle though. We will help and make sure you get through just fine. The snow should be melting away by then, but there will be plenty of ice and snow in the shade.

So it sounds like its gonna be a little too far out of our way for us this weekend guys. But staying close to home I'll be able to save the money to get my 35 BFG MT km2's next month anyway so it's probably the best decision. Have fun guys and gals

Come on out! The 60 will do great. You have a CB? If not, maybe we can scrounge up a handle held HAM for ya.

I'd stay home for some 35's :D, look forward to wheelin' with you in the future.

No bald tires on this run...

I am hoping to make it up there with the 40, hopefully the Bronco will make it too. Using the run to not have to go shopping... Would be a long drive if only going for the snow run. Gotta try out my new heater somewhere :)

Anywhere safe and convenient to park a trailer near the trailhead? Going to be staying in the springs, but could leave the 40 on the trailer til Woodland park.

There's a Walmart and Safeway parking lot up here that have plenty of room. There is also a large parking area at the trailhead.

That's good to hear its been years since I got the chance to wheel a truck so I may be alittle hesitant out there but hopefully it'll all come back to me. Also would be the first time really wheeling with power steering...
can't wait for the snow and ice though just sounds like fun! Good chance to break in these new tires!

No CB yet really the truck has nothing yet selling off some stuff to get the basics.. Tow strap, CB, fire extinguisher ect.
Hopefully I'll make it out depends on work and what we have planed this weekend should know today![/QUOTE]

Luke, are you bringing a grill?

Anyone have a handheld I can barrow for tomorrow?

Some jackass got into my truck last night and stole 4 dollars in change, my bug out bag and the faceplate off my Yaseu. They didn't want my cassette tapes, CD's or Target brand sunglasses for some reason ? :hillbilly:

Thanks.

That really sucks. I will bring an HT
