thanks for the name dropI am not going to limit camping, but just from what I have seen is there isn't very much as far a ground cover until we get closer to the Gila river, but that has never stopped @Stepmurr . It sounds like it is going to happen from the 2 votes so far from @muttsinapig and @brices123 that the 21st is the day that it is going to happen. Although I do have a 3 day weekend the week before and the week after. I think that the 21st is a good weekend because it still tends to be really pleasant weather wise. I would love to have a truck mounted GMRS by that time but I don't know at this time. I do have a hand held so I think coms will be through GMRS. I got rid of my cb last winter because I couldn't hear anything out of it anyway.
Part of me says that any Toyota 4x4 89 and older (including pick-ups and 4 runners) but on my podcast thread in the 40's and 55's tech section i had a somewhat heated debate a while ago as to what a "classic" Land Cruiser consisted of. There the general consensus was any Toyota that originally had an inline 6 and solid front axle was a classic now. That would include the 80/lx450. So do we do 89 & older, pre OBD II, or inline 6 with a solid front axle?In classic cruize 4 @DSRTRDR's partner came along in their 80 to make sure that we didn't go off track which we did a couple of times
. Also if 80's are aloud to come then @cruzer971 won't have an excuse that the motor in his 40 is till on the frits. I am going to say 40's, 55's, 60's, 70's and 80's, plus any other pre-OBD II Toyota 4x4 to include pickups and 4Runners. OBD II started in 96 so it is now 95 and older.
As I am writing this I am thinking of who else I can name drop.

also, my 40 is awaiting suspension work before I can wheel it again - frame cracks by spring and shackle hangers
maybe @Jim S. wants to wheel rootbeer ?
