LOL...Not me. I KNOW when to be grateful. Like when my friend Jack and his wife get a call on a sunday afternoon from a stranded wheeler TWO HOURS away and on a VERY UN FRIENDLY road up, and OFFER to come TOW HIS SORRY, BUSTED ASS HOME!!!!:o

You just dont find that ANYWHERE anymore! That is a TRUE COMMITMENT to the spirit of the community here and in the wheeling world in general and needs to be acknowledged, ENCOURAGED and APPRECIATED! Otherwise, it'll just FALL APART at the seams like the rest of the American fabric. Pay it forward!

Deep and Sappy maybe, but...THAT'S me! Big Ole LUG that I am!:D

Now I am getting tears in my eyes.:crybaby::rolleyes:
You actualy have unfriendly roads to wheel on, here we are lucky to find a sand pit with some mud to play in.
Well I tried but the :princess: won't immigrate.:frown:
However I am glad your sharing your build, the good stuff and your misstakes. It's always good to know your not the only one going through this.:D

Keep on going mate your almost there.

Saying HWY 4 is "unfriendly" is like saying Charlie Sheen has a "little" drinking problem.

Thanks man...its all i can do. The drive to wheel this bitch this summer is what is keeping me going.
You really cant imagine HOW unfriendly this road is, ESPECIALLY for a full size diesel Ford, a trailer and a built FJ62 on it.
Its an amazing story how it all went down. It IS what prompted me to get my 2M license. Im forever indebted to Jack and Darcie as well. That was a HUGE, KIND gesture they had done.

LOL...now that is fawkin FUNNY!
BTW...I even flashed my brights at you today and you didnt notice!!! WTF!?!? Im gonna start to worry about you and your lack of awareness.

Found some Rad. hoses.
Used a coat hanger bent to fit, and took it down to Kragen and picked through their hoses till I found two that I could cut to fit. I also picked up a set of hose adapters for the inlet and out let necks off the water pump...they are different size than that of the radiator and its much easier to find the shape I need with consistent hose dia. at each end. Worked pretty well actually. The upper hose was almost a perfect fit, but the lower hose is pretty short and hard to massage into place.
Gonna have to RE DO one support leg on the mount for ease of removal of the hose. Got everything welded up...warped...will have to cut some relief and RE WELD for it to go together easily.:bang:
Also trying to figure out what to do as far as a trans cooler...Ill NEED a gauge in the cab to monitor the temps FOR SURE, and I have ON HAND a B&M supercooler, but Im skeptical of its effectiveness. My end up running an E fan cooler. I think that'll be the safest bet.

I saw your :princess: at the store, she told me you tried to get my attention.

When you saw me I was running through the tranny removal procedure on the FJ60 in my head making sure I have everything I need.

Your just lucky I didn't run you off the road while I was distracted. :flipoff2:

Aaaaaaah..... When is that going down???
Btw, what was up with "one BEER?" had to laugh about that. Kinda like wine on the rubicon in the summer! Just off the mark somehow. :)

hey dan cruiser teching while driving is as dangerous as texting while driving:steer:

Shroud is all squared away!
Welded in some capture nuts where the bolts go through which makes life MUCH easier than trying to reach around inside.

Then moved on to the front bumper.
Since I outboarded the springs, my ONLY option, aside from welding the whole thing to the front of the frame, is to bolt it to the FRONT and TOP of the frame. Kind of a bitch getting the bolt holes lined up, but...what Ive gotta do. The bolts will be SIX, 1/2 in grade 8. Ill be welding the nut BEHIND the frame plate pictured below.
Also...Found I nice piece of 5/8 in plate out in the desert while walking the dog one day...picked it up thinking that it might be useful...found a use for it! Im a GREENIE!!!:p That will be my D ring shackle hanger. Ill cut a hole in the bumper and run it through front to back and weld it in.

Like I said before, raging me about drinking wine on the Rubicon would hurt a lot more coming from a guy who didn't shave his legs:flipoff2:

The transmission is on the floor, 4.5 hours start to finish, I could do it in about 2.5 next time.

Hmmm......

Details?
Just replacing the clutch. Unless you have a spare H55 or Toybox you want to sell for cheap.:grinpimp:

Okay that was a lesson learned:o, beer is a requirement on the Rubicon.

I'll order parts from Onur Monday. Tomorrow night I'll pull the fly wheel so I can get it resurfaced next week.

Funny, I have an H55f and rebuilt transfer sitting on the garage floor right now. I'm hoping to get it in my FJ62 before spring.

I'll bet you could do that job in an hour next time. linkage, 4 bolts, crossmember. Back in is more of a challenge. I'd offer up my tranny jack but Lil'John is using it just now.

I'll trade you for a well worn 4sp and a leaky transfer case, for your 5 speed and t-case. I'll even throw in $50 cash to pay for the extra gear.:grinpimp:
