But there was 12v at the coil packs during cranking...but it wouldn't fire nor throw a spark at the plug.

I think it had to do with the power to the ECU.

According to what he told me on the phone tonight the wire we used stayed hot while the key was in the cranking position. It's a mystery at this point.

Yeup...
When I tested the existing wires we had in place, on wire was full time. The other switched w/ the key and also stayed lit while cranking with w/ the test lamp. I didn't get a chance to see the volts w/ the meter though.
That is something I'd like an answer for, for whatever reason. Just seems that it should have worked the way it was.
The wire I got her started w/ was the actual coil wire off of the EZ wire harness. When tested it did exactly as the other did. Stayed lit when cranking. Hence, my surprise when she fired. I thought I was gonna spend weeks chasing my tail. As a result, the start up was a bit.... Un satisfying to some degree.

I'm glad to hear you got Matti's bugs worked out.
When can we expect some video of road time, or has all the time you've invested in this truck limited her to Sunday drives around the block?
 one of the most involved, ground-up 100% home-brew builds here, and it's looking fantastic!

Any chance you will be ready for the Jumbo Grade run?

It's possible!!!
May not be 100% complete, but enough to wheel a bit and test her out.
Hoping to actually driver her this weekend a bit!!

Thanks man!
Nope... She will be USED, so I'm sure there will be plenty of pics and video.
Not ALL the bugs are worked out yet. Still have a bit to go.

Let me know when. I'll bring my 40 and a camera, we can take a ride up behind the school.

LOL...
Rayjon had a build that was promising, but that fizzled out quick!!!

Probably sun. Gives me a bit of work time to pull that pump and fix the leak!!!
Donno if it's the gasket, or the pump. I do know it's leaking from the back to the pump though. I can see it.

We just need to give him more s***, or help him with his other truck.

Or both!
