I like those rad supports, thats a good idea to allow some movement, because the 40 frame flexes all over the place.

You're getting close!

Thanks for the pics that gives me a good idea of how to run the cable. Same as above diggin the rad supports and the bump stops simple but very functinal.

Thanks. I too thought it was a great idea. Fieldstein or Frankenstein did the same thing on his for the flex thing.

Kinda glad rubithon was postponed.... The is a very slim, outside chance.... Well... Well, all I can say is I'll shoot for it.

Re made the supports for the Rad. mount. I just FLAT didnt like how I had em. Some dude over in the 40 section used some rod and heim joints, and I thought that was a pretty cool idea. SO I welded some tabs on the fender and on the rad. mount.
Picked up an optima red top. Planning on mounting in the bay where the blower motor and making a bracket that runs from the firewall and bolts onto the fender...anyone think that might not be strong enough?
Wanted to do the fender skirts, cuz a LOT will tie in off of those and would really help in planning routing some of this stuff, but....the steel shop was CLOSED!
Anyone have any ideas of an easy way to run the fender skirts, post up!!! I really am at a loss for that. I was just gonna get some sheet and start forming and cutting.

Like the rad supports, they look way better then the old ones.
I would start the skirts with a simple frame of square tubing to get strength and fill it in with sheet metal. Maybe even bolt the sheet metal in for easy acces.
Your making great progres, keep it up.:)

I just used some masking tape and a cut off wheel and then painstakingly clipped the loose stragglers.

I giggled when I saw this pic....

Yes... my level of humor is about the 6th grade.

I saw that trick yesterday somewhere with the masking tape... Used it and I was surprised that it worked!!!
As far as the bumps.... Can ya tell I'm wanting to get done???:D
I actually did something similar on the blotch rig. It was simple And it worked, though not very "cool" looking.

I agree, I even had my wife look at it and yep, it was confirmed, your bumpstops look like man tackle.

And once it has been seen, it can't be unseen.:flipoff2:

Jack

WHY are you having your WIFE look at MY MAN TACKLE!?!?!?!:eek::lol:

Honestly...my brain didnt even GO THERE!!!!
s***'S RUNNIN the way it is then!!!!!:grinpimp:

Dont get me wrong, the fabrication and function are great. They just look like man parts and I'm immature enough to notice. :)

No worries. I get it. I just didn't quite understand till locrawlin spelled it out to me. It's true! It does!:D

So Chicago, how DID you get that so shiny???

This is so funny, I was thinking that it looked like the caricature of "man tackle" you sometimes see on the wall of public bathroom stalls. Glad I'm not the only one.

You guys are probably just used to seeing them head on.

ROTFL  That's why they're in the hardcore forum.

Looks like maybe he polished it a little before he inserted it in its final location.
