It happens. But how did you get it in the middle? Mine has an obvious click.

Donno????:meh:
Mine has the same thing...that is how the dude found the problem at the shop. I WAS working, then all of a sudden it stopped. Only thing that I can think of was that I changed the setting to "3", and it was MOSTLY on, but maybe slipped out...who the hell knows.

Hmmmm, little people???:hhmm:

Yeah...I had to laugh at MYSELF too with that. When the feed cut out, I immediately messed with the wire control knob, but didnt TOUCH the power control. Lesson learned. I was SOOOOO grateful it wasnt the spool drive motor. That would have been about 2 bills for a new one of those. Initially, I thought it was the trigger switch, so I picked up one of THOSE and installed it BEFORE I took it into the man. It wasnt THAT expensive, so now I have a new trigger.:D
The spool motor control PCB went out on the welder I borrowed for my SOA. I felt compelled to replace it since it happened on my watch. It was not cheap.

since this thread is VERY MUCH about this build, I wanted to link it here in case anyone in the future stumbles on this thread with this particular fuel issue.
There has been some GREAT INFORMATION, ideas and ingenuity shared in this and SHOULD BE stickied somewhere for easy access for people looking into in tank vs. in line fuel pumps.

It is my nonsense, and that of some others, too.:grinpimp:
In fact it is his question and our sence and nonsence.

So..... did you get anything done?

Yeup. Built a wrap bar ......AGAIN!:) wanted to drop the level on it for a bit more clearance and also protect the DS a bit more. Ended up cutting the whole thing apart.
Found out that 2M radio fits damn near perfect in that cut out in the dash. Need to figure a trim piece for it though.
I'm still holding on the pump for right now. Wanna see what the dimensions are on that tanks Inc. Pump. I'd still like to find an in tank way to go. Until I get it figured out, I'm not gonna post anything on cuz I might get lynched if I do as it's been beat to death. I've got pretty much all the info ther is to know, so I've just gotta make a final decision.
Did a lot of just looking at things. How to route stuff things like that.

Nothing too exciting though.

Hi Keith, Don't worry about the lynch mob, in the end it should be your decision not one of ours. So if you want to run something by (us) me just drop it here or send a pm. Do you have some pics of the wrap bar?

LOL...Thank Michel. I was actually kidding when I said that, but I appreciate the offer. Thanks. And youre right. It is my decision and what I think is best for my application. Which is why I kept diggin around for in tank solutions. Over all, I think it will just be a BETTER option for me and a cleaner install in general IF I can make it work without sacrificing too much MORE of the rear axle clearance. So...gonna call that tanks inc. Mon. and get some more indepth dimensions on their pump system and hopefully I can make it work. One guy posted that up in the fuel pump thread that I re visited after the GM pump idea went sour.

Fuel Pumps

Tell you what though...I have learned a TON on this aspect of the fuel system and design.

No pics of the wrap bar, but its just like the original with only a shorter down tube to drop the TOP down 1.5 in. Ill be making a couple bracket off of it to keep the E brake cable clamped. So as much of a pain in the ass it was to cut it apart, it did offer some benefits in the end.
