Couple observations... looks like they now offer oem black lugs which are on the Heritage and Sequoia. I'll have to grab some for my BBS wheels. Toyota sells 12k Sequoia's each year and that warranted a TRD Pro? I don't see very many Sequoia's so I wonder if the TRD Pro will spike their sales? I definitely see the 1st gen Sequoia's way more than the 2nd. I don't need to have CarPlay but I don't understand why they offer it in almost all other vehicles now except their flagship... Toyota really likes the old FJ Cruiser roof rack! It's on the 4Runner and now the Sequoia (which has 3 cross bars). I would bet when the new 200/300 comes out they will also release a TRD Pro later that year. Now would I get one? Probably. Am I jealous that the Sequoia got a TRD Pro YES! I think it looks great for being a Sequoia. They also will offer it in Army Green! Which is what they should have done with the heritage or at least a special color to stand out more.

If you're talking about the Rav4, I agree. The new Rav4 looks pretty damn good. I've been thinking of getting a reliable, semi-cheap, taller for easy egress/ingress, daily and am pretty close to pulling the trigger on one. I need to go test drive one soon.

As for the Carplay/AA, Alex from "Alex on Autos" notes the slow adoption for Android Auto was a dispute with Google about what/how Google collects customer data. Apparently that was resolved. Google is already listening to everything though the phone, why not through the car too.

Comparing images and the video clips, I'm guessing the new TRD Pro is a Sequoia. Which is already long in the tooth so perhaps a swan-song before it gets updated.

Fuel economy.

Vehicle dynamics too, I’m sure.

Also qualities the majority of buyers want: quiet, smooth, work like a true all-season on ice.. Oh, and whatever AT they did put on there would probably get complaints too.

Their target market are buying 50-80k dollar vehicles. They can afford the tires they want if the stock semi-slicks aren’t appropriate. Hell most dealers would roll it into the payment.

So looks like the same wheels, except LC Heritage got bronze, Tundra/Sequoia/Tacoma got black with red, Rav4 got black with black.

At least sitting there in white, that Sequoia is one bloated looking vehicle. It looks like Moby Dick got it on with a Durango.

Ya, anything that makes the 200 seem slender...svelt? That’s a Moby Dick all right. :hillbilly:

  • Heritage edition doesn't seem to have the dark accents described on the press release, and the roof basket looks like a lazy tack - on, poor execution there
  • Seqoia: I love the roof rack, that's what they should have done on the 4Runner TRD Pro vs half length
  • Rav4: why not? looks better, I am sure target mkt would be happy
  • Taco: OMG finally CarPlay/AA!
Thanks for the previews!!

Hey, ouch. That's a Yakima Mega Warrior and it's a damned fine rack! :) They clearly tried to copy my build.
