If River's raises his level of play just a little bit more... scratch that... a lot more!

We're just finally seeing that he's a very average quarterback whose been able to look good because of his supporting line, back and defense. He's not going to lead this team anywhere good and shouldn't be relied upon to do that. So far the Chargers have been the most disappointing team in football.

Yeah, we need new leaders, in the pocket and on the sideline.

6-5

It was good to see LT get some yardage!

Joining this topic a little late, but as a prior 7 year resident of America's Finest City, I have two words on the topic

Brees & Shottenheimer

Why screw with 14-2 just for the sake of change?

I have to disagree with all of the last three posts.

LT only broke one run the O line still wasn't making holes for him.

Thank God Rivers was throwing decent since LT couldn't get any day light.

And Rivers was there last year for the 14-2 all though carried by the D and LT. And AJ should have paid more attention to the coordinators and kept them or offered them the head job so they wouldn't take off and force AJ to boot Shott. Not that he didn't want him out anyway.

Hopefully Rivers will keep playing that level or better and the O line can make a little room for LT to do his thing. It could be worse, we could be Miami at 0 - 10. :D

I should have accented 'some'.

My point was it was good to see him not continuously getting stopped at or behind the line of scrimmage. He actually had chances to move the ball forward. Not big yardage, but yardage nonetheless.

Rivers, well, Rivers looked slightly better than he has, but still . . . . There is room for improvement. He has got to step it up.

As for coaching, Wade Phillips would have been nice . . . .

Yeah, we're not 0-10, BUT, we should've been 10-0! @ MINIMUM 8-2!

Not sure anyone (preseason) would've predicted a 6-5 record at this point or at best an 11-5 season.

Good point. LT is a phenominal player but he can't do it alone, he needs that room.

Rivers is not showing that natural leadership that all geat quarterbacks have, yet. Hopefully he can continue to grow, he did do better despite much Booing from his home crowd.

I am a Miami fan as well so I was trying to find a bright side. ;p

Oh man, I really wanted Miami to win last night. What a bummer . . . :frown:

Yeah, me too. That was a wierd mud fest, 3-0 on a Monday night game no less. If Miami can win at least one so they don't go winless and New England can lose at least one to save my "Only Perfect Season" record I will be happy. I was born in 1972 so it is meant to be that Miami keeps that record. :D Then again if Miami doesn't win one they will have the best and worst season records. :bounce::rolleyes:

In the meantime lets hope the chargers can keep it on the up and up. ;)

Happy to see both lines doing their jobs well and congrats to LT, 3rd and getting closer. :bounce2::D

I just finished watching Dick Enberg's interview with LT and I have to say that he is all class. It is so refreshing to see such a hugely talented NFL player that doesn't have a huge ego t go with it.
