Waiting for this test eagerly so that I place orders for EMS system. The sound is magnificent. Checked it on YouTube .

Can't wait for the results. i was told yesterday by my tech, that I am about to lose my exhaust form excessive rust. The cats are about completely gone.

That's just the CATs though, right?

I thought the exhaust system was 400 series SS?

The whole exhaust looks rusted. It would be hard for me to believe that mine is stainless.

Send money to help seed the testing. If you're eager to get results. The more Mudders contributing the less one "man" has to absorb all the costs, hassles, instalations, driving time etc.

No.

All of the numbers, graphs and details will be published once both systems are tested and evaluated. This is the agreement that I have with the vendors and it makes the most sense for context.

What I can say is the DT and EMS systems are significantly lighter than stock as well as significantly louder. I can also say there is an improvement in drivability with a catback system in place.

I should be complete with dyno testing within a couple weeks and be able to publish results.

Thank you for doing the tests and taking the time during the holiday season. I pulled the trigger on the EMS mid's and cat back to take advantage of the sale - could not wait any longer. Hope it works out to my advantage and I hope it's not too damn loud, I'm not driving a "red" truck

Thanks for the "teaser" sound clip on the DT system. Based on that, and the clip on the original thread for the EMS cat-back, I'll be ordering the OEM system tomorrow. My muffler blew out on a 350 miles trip yesterday, so I can't wait for further test results. Both after-market systems sound louder than stock and since I really like and appreciate the quietness of the Land Cruiser, I'm going factory. By the way, with a blown muffler, the Land Cruiser is not quiet. Now I just have to find the best price.

The cat back systems don't have a resonator and increased diameter contribute to the volume. There is additional performance to be had but it does come at the cost of quiet.

Any chance we'll have some data before the end of the month when the special EMS pricing expires?

My decision too is pending objective review from RobRed's results. Thanks for undertaking this task RobRed! Looking forward to results
