Ah, I’ve got the old version so I can’t really help there. I will say that sound quality in wireless mode isn’t great, and has dropouts. Pretty much everyone has this issue.

My screen will also go blank at times, but it’s extremely rare. I did have a defective NetPlay box which they replaced. They sent me a new one and I returned the defective unit without having to put up a deposit. I dealt with Steve (no last name). He was always very helpful.
Interesting. I got some cranky guy on the other side of the "line." How often do you get dropouts? Every once in a while, or quite frequent?

@sadovnik Have you tried any Android device with Android Auto installed? The fact that _no_ iPhone is working with USB almost makes me believe that you might have accidentally damaged a cable as you were pulling it over to the left hand button console.

I doubt I damaged the cable since I took the bottom of the console off to route the cable. There was no pulling involved, but I suppose anything is possible.

As to the Android Auto, I like your suggestion, but the only Android device I own is a tablet and I don't think it does Android Auto. I will borrow an Android phone to check it out.

I would consider them "once in a while". . .maybe one an hour or so.

Doesn't happen at all in wired mode.
Once per hour would be acceptable, I guess. If only the wired connection would work for me. Arggg!!!

Does the iPhone attempt to charge when it's plugged in?

Well that's not correct. Sounds like a cable is broken or not plugged in correctly. On my NP unit (that didn't have the USB Female button insert), there's just a female USB that connects into the wiring harness. I'm assuming that's the same with yours?

What’s the password for the carplay_wifi_15da network on the Naviplus? It’s not in the instructions.

I'm not sure. But I'll try and find out.

These are more detailed than the ones they sent me. Looks like they are slowly improving the install instructions.

Thank you. I figured the whole thing out. I had to forget the Bluetooth connection on my phone and on the Naviplus unit, then connect to the Bluetooth Car_Audio_15a which pairs with passcode 0000.

As stated, the wifi does not require a connection.

Does anyone else have steering wheel controls working with forward next track? Mine are not...which is a bummer since I paid for it. I'm wondering if there is a specific step where things went wrong, or if anyone had to do anything specific during or post install to enable them

Yes, there are specific instructions to initialize the SWC. I think this should help.

Reading through here I’m now on the fence if this is worth the install or not. My initial thought was this would increase functionality to the native navigation screen with the ability to switch between Gaia, Waze, Google maps, or Apple Maps but the connectivity with the phone and audio dropping has me concerned. 100% of my media consumption comes from my phone, would the added map functionality be worth the issues given my media source or would I be better off skipping naviplus and use the native head unit to connect to my phone for media and add a mount for iPad or iPhone for maps?

I think it’s really a matter of personal preference. For me, the larger display is worth the glitches. I’m not expecting an audiophile music experience, so intermittent dropouts aren’t a show stopper. Certainly, a tablet of some type is more flexible but then you need a data plan for that device as well, or you need to tether it to your phone’s hotspot.

Just my perspective, the only right answer is what works best for you.

I got data on a tablet, I just don’t want to end up with a cluttered multi screen cockpit. I’m not looking for the audiophile experience either, just need my audible app and podcasts to play without too much fuss. Heck, the CarPlay in my Navigator has fits from time to time so if it’s comparable to that than I’ll be happy.

As someone whose install borked my factory NAV (installer's fault not Naviplus) and doesn't have working steering wheel controls (yet) I would 1000% say this was worth it. If anything it's a critical safety feature when using Waze...I don't think it's as safe to look even at a mounted phone bc there is a temptation to want to change up the music etc. It really modernizes the truck in a way that makes me feel like I could use this thing for another 5+ years as a daily driver.
