It should fit with no issues, just make sure you order the hardware for your model year, since there are important differences. On the NaviPlus website they show the different options for different year Land Cruisers. I just installed a NaviPlus in my 2021 HE and so far it's working perfectly, including wireless and steering wheel controls. It's a super nice addition! I'm in LA and used a solid install guy. Happy to share that contact info if anyone here is looking to install this in the LA area.

^Same here. Ordered directly from NaviPlus. Hoping to install this weekend.

I have this unit here that I bought directly from them NaviPlus.com.au

I installed it and it works OK, but changed my mind, I'm going to do something different, so I someone wants it 1/2 price PM me. It's in near new condition.

I have some pic's of it installed and working.

what are you going to do?!

Thanks, very helpful! I’ll order directly from them. Did you order the SWC (i assume Steering Wheel Control) as well?

@Fisher23 Unfortunately I have a 2015...looks like yours is 2016+

I ordered the SWC (yes it’s the Steering Wheel Control) and the Wireless option and everything works great. It comes with a USB port that pops into the place where the OEM USB/Audio jack is, so you can still plug it into USB if you want to change it but the wireless CarPlay connects automatically when I start the car with my phone in pocket. Also you can still use the wireless Qi charger to charge the phone while using CarPlay, which I confirmed on a drive this morning.

Great, thanks!!

That’s what my usb port looks now. The NaviPlus provided piece is already the same size as the OEM piece size so it just fits right in. The OEM one is still connected underneath my panel now and is being used as the AUX connection. I have a 21, not sure if the layout is different for a 15 or what comes with that but I’d imagine it’s similar.

The placement of the USB is the one thing I still need to figure out. The fact that the NP unit doesn't provide Fast Charging is a real bummer for Android users or wired CarPlay users. Most of the time, the NP doesn't even keep my phone charging or holding at a charge percentage.

Yeah that's a good point. Since it's a new install for me I haven't used it on a long drive yet, so I don't know how fast the battery drain is. My wife has wired CarPlay in her Q5 and the charge just basically holds even on long drives.

So, I've had my NP unit in my 2018 for several months now. Besides the microphone issues (which will be solved by a new mic) it's been a pretty solid unit. Every once in a while (maybe twice since I've owned it?) the NP unit won't connect to the phone. My guess is it's the phone (Pixel 4XL). But there are two things that really bug me:

  1. The fact that the NP will not increase the charge on the phone. The NP mostly keeps the phone at the charge it was when originally plugged in. The NP unit doesn't work with wireless Android Auto so I can't use the factory Qi charging pad.
  2. I don't want to use the factory location for the USB plug.
I am working towards a solution for number one, but I will need a solution for Number Two. I'm not really a fan of the idea of drilling into the stock leather leg pads. That just seems like a wrong move of a leg can break it off.Can anyone give me some ideas on where to place a USB plug that will be out of the way? I't dbe great to use one of the stock blank panels on the center console, but I don't know if anyone carries an adapter specifically for one of those panels. I'll be using a type C female when the time comes. I don't need to see the phone at all, so I've just been putting it in the phone cubby in front of the shifter. The USB cable currently pops out of the passenger side of the center console at the foot rest. Not ideal for sure, but it's temporary. Thanks!

I just installed my system this past weekend. I installed the USB port in the blank right by the rear tailgate controls. Naviplus actually sent me the USB port that fit directly into the standard size blanks. It was simply remove the blank and pop in the USB port from Naviplus. I like this location because I have the ProClip mount right above and can use a short cord to the port.
