Can somebody make these for the 80?

Way to go!!! Pic's & price of the new version #2? Also, would I be able to mount 7" HID's & have clearance behind them?

give me a couple of hours for pics, I just stepped in the door, have to give baby dinner and all that good stuff. #2 is a rough draft but I will clarify the concept behind and explain how it will not vibrate while driving.

I have two right now and another one on the way.
This one is a rough draft, but it works out great for folks who want to mount 8" lights on their hood.

- Do not mind the bolts behind the light, that will be moved towards the rear.
Those are there to be adjustable so that it can sit on the windshield molding. The bracket does not vibrate or smack the molding at all, it's very sturdy.
There is pretty much no vibration when doing 75-85 on the freeway with an 8" KC light mounted.

I went to go visit SOCAL at his work. He has tons of stuff available to him. He showed me a few things he was working on and sent a few images today. I think he is on the right track.

This bracket is made for the smaller 3-4" lights, mounted are the Rigid 3"
Again, this is still a rough draft, I still want to refine it a bit more. I was able to test out the side brackets today driving really rough alley ways,
it seems to hold up fine with minimal vibration, but it's also hard to pay attention when I'm driving in narrow alleys behind warehouses. There a re a lot of people there so I couldn't keep my eyes on the light, I will be testing it on the freeway in the morning. Video to come.

Good stuff, that video is impressive. No movement at all! So here's my feedback...is it possible to keep the mount where you have it behind the hood, but angle it out a bit? I almost feel that the ones on the fender for the smaller lights look a little awkward, almost too far forward and too far out to the sides. This is what I'm thinking, does that make sense?

I can look into having it point out, but what of your snorkel and fear of rubbing against brushes/obstacles.
Because of the weight and high center of gravity of the 8" light, it relies on the extended portion of the bracket to keep it from vibrating.

The small side brackets are being edited as we speak, I want to make it slightly lower, but I don't know how high the snorkel sits. I will see if I can bring it closer to the body, but the hood and different light sizes have to be considered.

jcardona1, I like your idea w/it swinging wider a bit more. It'll take steel to keep the vibe's down. W/the bigger lights.

I like the idea of making it out of SS so the rear "support" wouldn't be necessary. Also like the idea of it kicking out to the side a bit. Good work!!

Any updates? I could use some of those mounts.

I'm working on a different mounting point, should be done today. Last week was impossible for me to do anything. Which Mount were you referring to?

I like the original location. If you can get a little bit of swivel to the outside as mentioned and make it out of steel or thicker aluminum all the better.

I just put on some of the rear mounts by frank and they seem to be perfect durability wise.

Alright, last week was hell but finally had a chance to work on the new bracket.
This mounts onto the mirror, adjusting the lights is just an arms' reach away.
It is very solid, you shouldn't have to worry about doing 90mph or using it on rough terrains.

This is a rough draft i whipped up today, you can still fold your mirror as seen in the photos, the wiring can go into the mirror and down into the door panel.
Putting your new light bracket on is a breeze, you only need a 10mm socket to take off the mirror, put bracket on and tighten.

I'm going to refine it a bit more and the CNC cuts will be perfect, I'm going to make the base 1" bigger and also 1'' longer so you can mount a second light from the bottom side if you wish to. Still deciding which type of finish I want to go with, but I will have to look into prices for powder coating, anodizing, or using Matthews Paint.

This is only a thought, I have to test it out to see what the extra weight will do.

I like that, simple and solid. Wondering about the glare, have you turned them on yet?
