Here's the clean side. Sick AF. Yes, I'm at Whole Foods, cause I've got uppity coil springs now:flipoff2:

It's gettin' real in the Whole Foods Parking Lot...

But, did you find a decent Pinot Noir for under $20?

That's funny, because I did not. (Wine is not yet sold in grocery stores in TN.)

That video is still spot on. I almost get run into by a road-raging Prius or Smart car driver every time.

I got the OME stock height springs on yesterday. With a 1" spacer on the front, it dropped exactly 2" front & rear. It sits lower obviously, but is still taller than when SUA and looks similar w/315s as it did with the 33s. It sits pretty level. I'm measuring it right at a 4" lift.

The steering is perfect on the street and at speed on the interstate. Zero twitchiness. It even cruises straight at 80 if you let go of the wheel. The driveline vibe is gone too.

The ride is much better on the street. Just about perfect actually. These springs are progressively wound w/smaller diameter wire than the heavies.

So, all of my problems are solved, it just doesn't look quite as cool. Those extra 2" will cost an extra 2 Grand to do properly, so I'll probably just hang out here for a while until/if I ever get a different DD.

I may try a set of those magic springs mentioned above to get a slight stinkbug & extra load carrying capacity.

The front axle & tires stuff nicely too. I cycled the front axle up, w/o springs, and it will now go all the way to the bumpstops without contacting the oil pan or bottoming out the shocks.

I did the same with the tires on. The tires start to touch the fenders just before the bumpstops, so I'll lower them 3/4" or so.

At first glance, it looks like I could just trim the lip, but it runs across the whole front inner fender as you turn the wheel. The bumpstop fix will be perfect.

Awesome news. The $ saving is good for Mrs fj60cam too. Looking forward to seeing it on the slick rock.

One option if you need a little extra lift during long trips when you're loaded down is to put a set of Air Lift bags inside the rear springs. @alia176 and I run these and both like them. Usually I keep them at minimum pressure (5 psi), but you can put them up to 35 psi if you're heavily loaded or pulling a trailer with heavy tongue weight. Model 60755 should fit your truck.

I was wondering how you ran medium springs (if I'm remembering correctly) with the extra fuel and supplies that you haul.

Actually I'm running the OME 2.5" heavy lift (850/863).
