Ditto..... only got to camp twice this year and seeing as most of the sites close down after labor day we kinda get screwed. Hence why I need to find some sites that we can 4wheel the land cruiser too.

plumas eureka is open year round until its snowed in. I know roads and spots hehe come visit dude and bring the fly rod and wife. ill bring my gear and a girlfriend if I can find either :D:D

I dug up an old photo

Didn't have a bumper or valence then. 33's looked HUGE like that haha

Beautiful pics! I'll have to make some into my desktop backgrounds to keep me sane through the winter!

My FJ60 should be ready in a week or so...I'm hope it's not too late to drive up into the mountains and catch the change to fall colors!

So im looking at where we camp at up in the sierras in google earth and lo and behold there is my 62. From Space! Ha!
There is also another more conventional angle. Im actually that black dot on the road taking a picture of the rig at that exact moment. Too crazy. I then deleted the ones without the canoe on top cause they weren't cool enough, D'oh!

Alright that's just about the coolest tech around!

Here's mine in Cleveland national forest, taken with the Theodolite app.

Thanks for sharing these. The closer you get to the Strait (of JdF, not Georgia) from the south, the more the land changes - starting around north Whidbey Island and Fidalgo Island. Really blurs the line between NW Washington and SW BC.

Gawd, I love this area, cannot wait to get home.:bounce::bounce2:

Awesome photos everyone, thanks for sharing, far out it makes me keen to hurry up and get out there. I will make sure to grab some photos of the set up, but I'm currently still building it all.

This is going to be an effort in restraint...

Mine are only going to be campsites, not cool poses, to keep the numbers down!

And from this day forward the cruiser was known as Thorin Oakenshield (from the bumper)!!:bounce::bounce2::steer:

Hah! It even snuck into Henry's calendar that way.. the shot from Wyoming is the same trip. That is the first time it has ever been named, and I like Thorin.

That was from a huge loop down to the Hocker's in S Arizona for the 3FE Bash run.. I was picking up stray barbed wire and bailing wire, and that stick was sitting in the trail on the back side of the hill from Jerome, AZ. Figured it was better than two frame rails sticking out from an unfinished bumper build before the trip.

Thx man, (side note) your avatar of the Kalakala led me on a multi session historic navigation of the famous ferry. Great story on the old ship. I think she's a beauty.

Esh, your truck is still one of my favourite Sixties and your backwoods photos are second to none. Great to see others exploring!

Keep it up lads.

Here's a few pics of our camping here in Australia, plent of beach spots to enjoy. We recently bought a camper trailer which makes it so much more comfortable with the kids, I'll post a pic of the camper next (it's only letting me post one pic at a time)
