So im looking at where we camp at up in the sierras in google earth and lo and behold there is my 62. From Space! Ha!
There is also another more conventional angle. Im actually that black dot on the road taking a picture of the rig at that exact moment. Too crazy. I then deleted the ones without the canoe on top cause they weren't cool enough, D'oh!

That is awesome.

camping

I am envious of you folks near the mountains, us flatlanders have to drive 500 miles to see the nearest large mountains. We do camp, though it hasn't been a habit of mine to take a pic of the cruiser when we do. Here are some from this summer. We camp frequently, I will be more mindful of taking pics with the cruiser during beautiful sunsets like this one:

Poor Poor Tracker, I pulled it out to the road after we let the water drain for a while. The guy got it running the next day.

Great idea for a thread! Here's my '86 60 at Padre Island National Seashore (PINS for the Texas folk). The main reason I own a 60 is for trips like this. Just not as much fun in anything else. The warning sign my wife is standing next to is the 4x4 only sign, about 65 more miles of beach past this that can be pretty tough depending on tides.

Early '90s on the Texas coast in a 4WD mini-truck, about 22 miles up the beach on Matagorda Peninsula and stuck. It was a late Saturday afternoon and no one else was around. My wife and I were at the absolute end of the peninsula and did not know whether the tide was coming in or going out. Ain't nothing like the stuff washed up on a Texas beach :hillbilly:. I scrounged 2x12s and other boards, a long section of thick rope, and using this stuff along with the stock jack, a shovel, and a cheap come-a-long extricated the truck after a couple of hours of work. I had hit a soft spot and sank the truck to the axles.

This thread is gonna make me buy $hit

I wanna go camping!

Nice pics guys

Ditto..... only got to camp twice this year and seeing as most of the sites close down after labor day we kinda get screwed. Hence why I need to find some sites that we can 4wheel the land cruiser too.
