Hah! It even snuck into Henry's calendar that way.. the shot from Wyoming is the same trip. That is the first time it has ever been named, and I like Thorin.

That was from a huge loop down to the Hocker's in S Arizona for the 3FE Bash run.. I was picking up stray barbed wire and bailing wire, and that stick was sitting in the trail on the back side of the hill from Jerome, AZ. Figured it was better than two frame rails sticking out from an unfinished bumper build before the trip.

Always great to see pictures of our 62s in their element especially when a dear old friend is riding in one. Max, I hope you and Nellie and Pearl are all in doggie heaven having as much fun as you did here on earth. There needs to be a "good dog" emoticon!

ddnuts- one of my favorites too, though I haven't been up there in a long time. My grandpa used to take us as kids up the Dosewallups, ride up on horses to a "spot", fly fish up a small creek until we meet the trail and walk back down to the horses. It is an amazing area. See you guys at the Xmas tree run?

overhanger- Max made it to 16 last Sep until his rear legs wouldn't respond to his brain. He's been one of the best companions, for better and worse, I've had and likely saw more of the West than most people. Hope he's up there rolling in dead things and swimming with the girls! I'm on a contact list for another golden puppy in the spring. :D

Thanks much stowandsteady  (there should be a recent trip writeup coming soon in a Toyota Trails or two)

cool camps Skids. There are never enough pics from Oz!

and GET OUT THERE theazfj62!

I am leaving today for a couple weeks to Colorado and back to Oregon via.. well random places but Utah and California it looks like. Hopefully will have more pics of camps when I return. Tonight is Bog hot springs and a final sendoff to BlueHZT60 (RIP).

esh, I want to go back. I've only been twice and loved it. Didn't go on any trails, but I'm looking for some next time. Shoot me a date and we will be there. This time with ddnuts Jr. if he's up to it. He'll be here on Thanksgiving. :)
Have a fun and safe trip and I look forward to seeing tons of pics.

No worries, I only charge $5 per like, favorite or whatever that den of hell uses. :P

ddnuts- hope to see you at the Xmas Tree Run (tentative Dec 7th Saturday), but holy crap! CONGRATS ON THE IMPENDING RUGRAT! Fingers crossed the birth goes well and you have another healthy pain in the neck.

The rest of the pics from the trip are on Cascade Cruiser's forum- http://forum.cascadecruisers.com/index.php?topic=5049.0

Here's a shot from this past weekend - at the KOA in Mt. Pleasant, outside of Charleston, SC. Surprisingly nice for being just a few blocks away from the highway and businesses... plus you can walk to WalMart if you forget anything.

So that is what an OEM cruiser Antenna looks like?!
Great looking truck Pete and makes me want to paint mine back to the OG 8B4 blue.

Esh,

Nice to see Bog Hot again... If you want a spectacular drive, when leaving Bog Hot, make a right, and go a short way (less than a mile, I think) and then make a left, headed due south. This will take you through ranch land, the reservation, and past Soldiers Meadows, down to Gerlach. Along the way you will get to see fields of wild burros and horses, and pronghorn antelope cavorting near the mountain pass.

Argyre (aka "Fred" on IH8MUD)

No I just dont think I have seen the straight, all metal antenna on most cruisers. Most guys have broken them off on the trails and replace them with the small, rubber, vatozone antenna. Me..... I have a red hanger!

I love this thread - Places and Spaces out there - great to see everyone's trucks and camp sites.
As winter creeps slowly upon central Europe it's almost time to fly with the birds to the south seas where a rotting 60 series rig and tent are ready for a summer under canvas with 4 forward gears and a big ole smelly diesel. She's a brute! ( not the wife):hillbilly:

This thread is now oem antenna thread.

Once upon a time Thorin looked like this...

Now the antenna hole is covered by a mag mount SiriusXM puck.
