Blaire, when was that taken? I thought the Carson River was super low this year? Looks like a pretty good spot to fish from.

Horseshoe bend, pretty early this year. I want to say April or May. It is a good fishing spot and an easy trail many stock rigs have made it in and out.

Recent deer hunting trip in Wyoming, my whole fleet of Toyotas went along. Through the trees: '88 pickup (back corner visible), '89 FJ62, '83 Dolphin. The Eurovan is not mine...

These pictures make me envious of the foreign high-roof models! We don't do badly though- the first is a picture of a stop near San Ignacio, Baja Sur (it's been posted before but I am theoretically working and don't have time to dig), the second is last month at a favorite spot above the Big Sur coast. I know I have a picture of my last 60 up there (there's some digging!), my camping comfort has come a long way....

Now to get back out of town!

Cool fade on the two-tone...

Must have caught some kind of bug. I was out again this weekend.. :-/

This time it was in Central Oregon near Mt Bachelor.

at 7100ft.. seriously if you came across a shelter like this, with tons of dry split wood, a wood stove, benches and platforms and even a cot, lots of pads... wouldn't you sleep inside, all toasty through the 28F night, instead of the truck? I did a major cleanup job, wood stacking, and reorganization of the shelter as a thank you. Also hung a new silver tarp I had over the rear entry.. there was a pretty ratty blue one in place.
