lookin good.

i got another question on those knuckles: on the trail gear site, it says they are mini truck knuckles....are they a strait install, or do you have to mod them first?

straight install

those guys dont know jack about 40's trust me they wont give you an answer concerning them

but yes just a bolt on replacement

Maybe I missed the pic somewhere....

How is your cooler setup and plumbed into the system? I am running a Saginaw pump and hydro-assist without a cooler. Only one trip on it but, has zero issues (it was soooo nice having it… all future wheeler rigs will have it). Just want to know if this should be an upgrade in the near future.

cooler goes in the low pressure return line from the box to the pump.

yes you should get this set up, its tough

i fi flip that bolt the spring will catch it at full compression. i will be putting the bumpstops back on, i removed them to get better access to the work area.

i will be wheeling this weekend and will take pics and give a full update on how it went. im stoked

well its time for the conclusion and report on the ram assist, a tip for all who are about to install, bleed bleed bleed the system. trust me youll know if you have not done this well,

so went out over the weekend and i cannot say how awesome it works, i love it, it was moving me though and moved smaller rocks out of the way like it was childs play.

i highly recomend it. i would say with my set up 4x4 labs, it was a 4 out of 5 bananas on the dificulty scale the hardest part was to figure how to mount the thing.

i was very impressed. here a pic or too of some of the smaller rocks

How is the response on the street? Did it slow down the steering response or you don't even notice it is there?

Nice write up.

i would say that if it did slow it down its not noticable. the only thing it doesnt do is return to center, which is no biggie to me.

cant tell its even their, well i lie you can tell cuz its 50x easier to turn the wheel. on street and offroad, especially in the rocks

like poser said, "youll love it"

Hey cam, great write up makes me want to hydro assist. Is that trail up american fork canyon? If its where I think it is, its right before the rock garden. I love that trail.

I will for sure. It'll be a while though just found that I have a bent shackle hanger. Time for SOA! Its changed even since I was up there not too long ago.

I just called them yesterday about fitting the knuckles to a 71 FJ front and they said NO. Just checking, for murphys luck sake, its a GO right? Did you use a knuckle rebuild kit for mini truck too? Or bastardize some parts?
