Rear Axle Service Kit, 1979-99 | Marlin Crawler, Inc.

BONUS: Free Marlin Crawler T-shirt (L)

About $350 in NEW parts, will sell for $250!

Can bring to ride or meeting for club members.

I need a wheel for a '94 FZJ80, prefer the stock wheel but an aftermarket 16 in. wheel would work, not sure of the backspacing...

1F/3 Speed/Transfer Case

Gone to a Good Home in Alabama...

I'm doing a diesel conversion on my '71 FJ40 so the old motor has to go. Still runs good and I can do 70+ on the interstate. I thought I had someone that was going to take this but it seems the deal fell thru. I am offering this up for free if you come and take it. Call me and we can coordinate the removal with your pick-up. I am located in Fortson, GA just north of Columbus. I hate to have to haul this to the junkyard since I have no room to store it.

I bought this cruiser about 4 years ago thinking I would have time to restore it. That hasn't happened other than a few weeks of cleaning and preserving what is there. My intentions were to restore it to the way it was when it rolled off the assembly line. As you will see by the massive amount of 55 parts I have collected for it over the past 4 years all it would take is to have someone do the body work on it, paint it and then put everything on. I consider that the easy part. Collecting the parts to do this over the past 4 years was the hard part.

What parts I have. (pretty much everything)

Front PTO with all the linkages
Stock OEM A/C I picked up from TLC
A couple sets of gutter chrome
All new weatherstripping for the tailgate
AU style brake light lenses
Rear quarter patch panels
spare early tailgate
Brass tailgate gear
Weatherstripping for all the doors
Metric TLC reproduction front seat upholstery. (The only one in existence)
Various plugs, grommets all oem all new etc...
Couple spare sets of hinges
Spare set of handle cranks
Dome lights
Tail lights
Reverse lights
Rear oem bumper
And a whole bunch of other things that have not been put on.

As far as the condition of the cruiser. It had sat in a garage unused for 20 years. It has some wear. I rebuilt the carb, replaced the plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap, points, radiator hoses, cleaned the radiator and flushed the motor, new oem water pump, new thermostat. Carb and smog pump were rebuilt by me. It has all the smog equipment on it. It has new oem vac lines. The t-case was replaced due to a crack with another 75 t-case that I rebuilt with quality parts. The gas tank was boiled lined and then coated with POR 15 on the outside. The front fenders were replaced. They are as mint as your going to find. No holes or rust. One has a slight ding in it. Front turn signals are 3 years old. All the glass is in good condition with no cracks. Weatherstripping around them is original with the chrome strips. It has all the original floor mats. Everything works on this cruiser. Lights, gauges, rear window was rebuilt and works. The engine starts and runs. It needs some tlc as it had been sitting for 20 years. The oil pan gasket was replaced. The clutch master and slave are new oem. The brake master is new oem. All the brake cylinders have been replaced along with pads and the rotors have been turned. It will stop just like it did when it was new. It has the OEM radio. It has a dash cover installed. The dash looks almost brand new. All the door panels are off and have been stored. The rear heater works

The cruiser has somewhere around 70k original miles. I've driven it maybe 30 miles in the past 4 years. Mostly around the neighborhood to keep the engine fresh. The tires have maybe 30 miles on the . They still have the nubs.

That being said it isn't without it's faults.

The exhaust from the tranny back needs to be replaced. It has rust in most of the usual places. Just not as much as most for it's age. Most all the rust has been treated and killed. The engine needs to be gone through. It runs needs a good going through.

My build is here if you would like to see what I started out with and what I have done with it.

As far as what I'll trade for it I have no idea. Throw some things out there. You never know what may stick. If I had to put a price on just the cruiser it wouldn't be more than 2k it's all the parts that come with it (PTO/, A/C, Weatherstripping, etc...) that make it valuable. If I had to sell it I'd think 4k would be a really fair price.

1975 FJ40

Loaded question for everyone. A couple of years ago I was basically broke and had a project FJ-40 that I'd been towing around with me for the last 10 years get towed away from the apartment complex I was living in at the time (Alpharetta). I was really annoyed by this as the property manager had my contact info on file and told me he'd notify me if anybody complained about the truck sitting there. It was parked around the corner from my building, and, needless to say, was not something I watched over every day (although in hindsight I should have). In the end, it got towed without any word to me, and was gone. I called the towing company and they wanted $500 to get it back - which I certainly didn't have at the time, nor the cash to properly store it once I got it back until I could afford to do something with it, and just let it go and tried to forget about it. Sadly, it's been 2 - 3 years since this happened and I'm now in much better shape financially to actually do something with it, and have by no means forgotten about it. At this point, it's not so much that I want it back - I just want to make sure it went some place where it's being taken care of. I worked on it for 5 years or more to get it where it was, and I regret ever letting it go. It had Virginia tags on it when towed, and who knows what kind of shape it was in when (and if) it was finally auctioned off after sitting in an impound lot. I'm sure I have the VIN on it somewhere at home, I just need to look for it. Point here is, I'd love to know if anyone local has it. If you've been lucky enough to find this cruiser at auction in the last few years, please let me know. It was cream colored, and was missing the motor. However, if you want the original motor back I know where it is. :-) And, if you do have an interest in selling it, I'd be willing to make an offer on it. If this cruiser sounds like you or someone you know, let me know?

Thanks y'all.

Posting for Stewart Hamilton, got questions shoot them to him :flipoff2:

The car in question is a 1984 fj60 with 92,000 miles on the odometer. I have enough paperwork on the car to support the mileage. It is not being used and needs to be in the hands of someone who will enjoy it; it had around 70,000 miles on it when I bought it and I have had it for six years or so.

The car shows no rust, the upholstery have no tears or worn spots; the carpet is stained and should be replaced. It is stock original and has not been modified in any way. The body is good, but the paint will no longer take a shine, so it could use a paintjob from sitting outside over the years. The dash is clean and has no tears or cracks.

Attached are a couple of pictures that will give some idea of what it looks like. I am seeking the best offer at or above $4500. Check this price against what is in SOR and Cool Cruisers of Texas.

Aluminum Rims 15x10

I know it's an odd number, but there may be someone out there who could use three. I started with 4 and am using one of these as a spare on my ride, so I have to let the other 3 go. Best offer takes all.

Thanks
Steven

Chrome Rims 15x10

I have four of these, with two still holding tires but tires are pretty much worthless. Some surface rust, but would be decent for a trail rig or for someone with a limited budget who needs a set of starter wheels. Best price takes all.
